Chapter 5 

Gideon POV 

I wake up and use my night vision to see where I am, but am confused when I realize I’m in a closet and there is a cloth in my mouth.

Confusion hits me and I just stare at the door for a moment thinking how on earth did I get here as I finally get the thing out of my mouth.  Suddenly I remember Simon pressing something against my mouth and then I try to shift to get my hands untied, but I can’t.

What the hell did he use on me!  

Suddenly the door swings open and Gerard is staring at me. 

“s**t! He’s in here!”

Eric, Nicoloas, Ash and Eli come rushing in and quickly untie me. I realize then I was locked in my own closet. 

“What the hell happened!” I say and as I try to stand up my legs buckle and I quickly grab hold of Eli’s shoulder. 

“Son, I think you should sit down,” his words make me realize something worse has happened. I stare at their clothing for a moment and as I tap into the mind speak with rest of the pack I hear everyone talking about where they are searching for her . 

Charlotte. 

My eyes flash as I look at all of them and then I’m on my feet. 

“What happened to Charlotte! WHAT HAPPENED!” I growl and as I try to go to the door Lucas comes in with Iris on his heels. 

“Diane! He’s alright!” Lucas says just as my mother comes rushing in and grabs me in a bear hug. 

“WHat happened to you?” She asks and puts her hands on either side of my face and I look at my feet and then at Gerard who trained Simon and brought him to live with us to have a warlock in our war unit. 

“Simon drugged me and tied me up,” I say and see all of their bodies tense. I Feel my wolf senses start to return to me and I try to stay calm.

“He must have shape shifted into Simon, he must have!” Gerard says and it feels like someone has thrown ice cold water over my head. 

“Shape shifter? The hybrid? How?” 

“He looked like you Gideon even smelled like you,” Diane whispers and I see Lucas watching me intently. 

“He took her Gideon and we need to get her back now.” 

I feel my eyes start to glow and so does Eli and Ashe’s. 

“I’ll bring her back,” I say and communicate my plan to Eli and Ash through mind speak. 

“We’ll go with you,” Nicholas says looking at Eric standing at the door. 

“No, that will only waste more time if we’re all together,” I say and feel my teeth sharpen as I slowly start to shift into Xavier. 

“We know what we're doing,” Ash says and we jump out of my open window shifting in mid air. 

Ash shifts into his blond wolf Gavriel and so does Eli into his  midnight black wolf Tigan. As my paws hit the ground I look up at my father and mother standing at the window. 

“Promise me you’ll come home!” My mother shouts in mindspeak. 

“Always.” 

We dart into the woods and as we howl in union at the moon I see her eyes and hear her voice and the human part of me has turned off completely. 

"I'm coming Char, I'm coming"

Charlotte POV 

I can’t scream, because I’ve screamed so much my throat is raw. We are so high up that I could see the different homes symbolizing the different villages of the Fey people. Everything happened so fast and I still couldn’t wrap my mind around the pull I felt towards him. It must have been magic. I don’t want to look at him, but as he goes even higher I press my face into his chest to keep calm. 

“Please let me go,” I say and he act like he can't hear me.

“Why do you want to kill me?” I ask and finally look at the hybrid and is surprised to see that he was handsome for a monster. I could only see that his short hair was dark and that he had light eyes of different shades. His wings looked like a dragons and as he looked at me I could see his vangs sticking out over his bottom lip. 

“I won’t kill you if you atleast listen to what I have to say when we get there,” he says, his voice sounding deeper than Gideons in a way that made me wonder how old he actually was. We were in the middle of the woods when he suddenly stopped and floated as if he didn’t actually need his wings. 

“Where are we going,” I ask and suddenly he lets me go. 

I couldn't even scream as the woods came closer and closer and my heart felt like it was about to explode. 

“f**k!” I hear someone scream and suddenly there is a city in my eye sight as if it had just appeared out of thin air. 

I close my eyes getting ready for the impact that most probably will kill me, when suddenly I’m in water. My adrenaline spikes and I start to swim upwards and am surprised when a glowing arm is reaching down towards me. I take it without a second thought and am pulled up to only meet a crooked smile I have come to know since I was little. 

“Simon?” I say and his green hair and blue eyes twinkle. We were in the middle of a busy little market of lights and the most hideous creatures I have ever seen, but all I could think about was how Simon was going to take me home.

‘Hi princess,” I grab him in a hug until I feel the strange leather that is covering his body, not our royal leather, something different, something alive moving over his skin. I  pull back and stare at him and quickly try to move away, but he disappears and is suddenly standing right behind me. 

He holds my arms behind my back and I’m so angry I try to shift again, but nothing seems to work. 

“Princess please listen!” He says and then I close my eyes and remember who I am. 

“I listen to no one,” I say and shift catching him off guard. 

My white fur attracts the bystanders and I can feel all their eyes on me as I bite Simon's arm throwing him to the side. 

"I thought you said it worked for twenty four hours!" I hear a woman shout at Simon, but I ignore her completely.

I dart towards the closest exit towards the woods when suddenly something falls out of the sky throwing me backwards. I fall on my back and before I can get back on my feet a wolf is on top of me. One with silver fur and a yellow and blue eye. 

“You are not going anywhere,” I recognize his voice through the mindspeak, but only growl and throw him off. I can feel his surprise. I wasn’t some f*****g pathentic wolf that couldn’t protect herself. I was an Alpha, it was my blood right. 

“I am the daughter of the queen that created this realm and you will not tell me what to do,” I say and charge towards him.
