Chapter 46 Gideon POV
“Gideon?” Ash whispers as I grip his heart. I can’t speak, because I don’t have control of my own body.
“NO!” Eli screams, but Simon holds him back as someone appears behind me. Everyone stands ready to jump and I wish they would.
“You thought I would give you some of this power without a price?” The vampire king's voice fills our ears and I try to move again, but nothing is working.
“I take it back, kill me. Kill me instead. I don’t want to live if I don’t have control,” I say my voice breaking as I watch Ash face ingulf in pain.
“I said that I wanted to test something on you and you were so out of it, so impulsive to save your little mate you didn’t think of the consequences. You thought I would give you something to save you without some kind of plan? Hah!
