Sam POV
Eli and I stare at each other for a moment and when his eyes flicker towards Eric’s hand holding mine I see jealousy as clear as day. Eli was my first and we trusted each other, but we both knew it couldn’t work. We both had baggage and we both knew he was still waiting for his mate. But for some reason, this still felt totally awkward.
“We need to get out of here now!” The girl says that standing a little too close to Eli and darts into the woods. We all shift and follow her as she runs at an inhuman speed. We communicate through mind speak.
“Where is Gideon?’ Nicolas asks Eli and Ash and they shake their heads.
“He’s been captured with Charlotte. Erandri also disappeared with Greyson. We followed her scent, but we were being hunted.”
“Captured? Disappeared?”
