Most reincarnated stories start with A young hero or heroine who falls under the shadow of dark power. I guess in a way that happened to me, it had to be some type of dark power that convinced me that it was a good idea to investigate what had been shining at the top of my apartment building on the ledge. It had been taunting me for weeks, every day and night, the reflection from the sun that made it appear as if it was a lost treasure called out to me. I had to know what it was. I had told my parent about it, my mother to be more precise but she had only replied with a saying that I've heard over a thousand times she said "what doesn't concern you leave it alone"  I had also told our landlord about it but the only thing he did was to remind me that the roof of the building was off-limits to everyone except for him and then told me that he would check it out but he never did, it remained there for days which turned into weeks and weeks which turned into a month. Apart of me blamed it on the landlord for leaving the door to the roof open, it had been way too easy. I remember looking around until I saw the reflection of the sun causing whatever it was to sparkle. I walked over then climbed up onto where it was placed. I took it up still standing on the edge as I looked down at what I was so curious about in disappointment. "An old watch, seriously?" I mumbled as I tried to get it open. "Hey, no one is allowed up here," someone said as the door that had closed behind me burst open. I remember feeling caught off guard and the feeling of the wind hitting against my body just before I lost my balance. I didn't even have the time of scream the only thing I did was hold onto the watch I somehow still had in my hand, closed my eyes and waited for impact, it all happened so fast, but the pain I had expected. The feeling of my back hitting the ground down below never came. Instead, my body jerked up, it was like that moment when you're about to fall asleep but you see yourself fall and jump awake. My eyes fluttered open and I gasped for air. The moment my eyes adjusted I frantically started to move around, to get up.  'was I in a hospital bed?: I screamed a bit the moment I caught sight of my hands. they were mine but they weren't, the color of my skin was different, the shape of my nails was also different. my next response was to feel my face but it wasn't mine. I almost finished removing all the tubes that were attached to my skin when the room door burst open and in came what I assume were either doctors or nurses to rush in, everyone was speaking at once, some were telling me to calm down but the last thing I remember before being stuck with a needle was that they all held me down, trying to get me to stay still. When I woke the second time I felt drained, so drained that I was hardly able to move. "Salome," he said my name as if it was a breath of fresh air as I looked into his colored ones. He looked as if he was about to cry, it was odd how he had said my correct name and yet still when I looked at my reflection across from me, the person who looked back at me and did the movements I did was not me at all. He touched my face gently as he directed my eyes back to him, with all my might I knocked his hands away from me in shock. "Don't touches me like that, "I told him as I looked at him cautiously.  He held onto the hand I pushed away as if I had burned him. "you-you don't know who I am do you?" his voice slightly cracking. 'I felt as if I was imposing, what had happened to me, am I dreaming?' I questioned my self. "Where am I, what am I doing here?" I asked needing to get answers. "You're at the hospital, you've been here fo-for, four years, i-in Acoma," he said causing me to choke on air. "What are you talking about? I want to speak to my doctor, why are you even in my room?, I've never seen you before in my life." I felt bad after saying that almost instantly, the look of pain and hurt showed deeply in his eyes but it was true I didn't know him. The last thing I remember is falling but I'm sure this man was a stranger.
