Chapter 7 It took us two hours, and I was amazed by the fact it wasn’t only people from the wedding party, but also ordinary punters from the hotel. “Just wanting to help,” they said. “Many hands make light work.” The hotel staff joined in too. There were several comedy falls, but no injuries, thank goodness. Four strong men took close on an hour to carry the cake up the drive, slowly and carefully. The staff showed us a couple of shortcuts, but most were up narrow steps that were lethally slippery, so nearly everything went around that switchback of a drive.
