Episode - 16

Darrick's POV - 

it's been 3 days since she's ignoring me and I am trying so hard to gain her attention but all my efforts just went in vain. she didn't even look at me, not for a second and you know what, it hurts but it's all my fault and I am paying for it. there's a saying that you only understand time and health's value in your life when it was destroyed. In my case, it's not tie and health, it's lily. I now understood that I am addicted to her, her smile, her laugh, the silly things she do. I come to school daily only to see her. she looks sad now a days. her smile is lost somewhere. her face lost all her charms. after that day, I didn't watch her laughing freely and it hurts me knowing that I am the reason behind her sadness and pain. I am such a jerk. I snatched her smile from her face. There's no use of regretting now when the bird already ate the field. 

Jack's POV - 

I don't know what's going on between Darrick and lily but something is definitely cooking between them. I can even smell it. when Darrick asked for my forgiveness, I just couldn't believe it. I still can't. I believe that, vampires are those beasts which are hard to tame and about Darrick, who is so strong and powerful, can never be tamed but it looks like this strong and powerful vampire is strap on by our princess. 

Just look at his face, when Lily ignored him like she didn't hear him, oh my god, it looks like a puppy is forbade to have his favorite biscuit. it's all so funny . when I got closer to Lily, his face become red in anger and his eyes were throwing draggers at me in jealousy. Trust me, I wanted to make him more jealous but I can't risk my life for some enjoyment. can I? it's very hard to not to laugh at his facial expression when he tried his best to control his anger and not to just push me away from Lily. I think, he love Lily. I can see that. he apologize to me just because he couldn't bear Lily's ignorance. he gets jealous when I even smiled at Lily. That day when he beat me in school, I am sure it must be because he saw us quite close. however, I too admire Lily but I don't see her as a woman. she's nice and I respect her as the future queen but that's it. nothing more, nothing less but I know, Darrick is deeply in love with her. I don't know if he himself realized it that how much he loved her. 

it's weird that a vampire fell for a werewolf. as much as I heard, vampires hate even the smells of werewolves and vice versa. I don't know how Darrick falls for her but I know Lily is never going to love him back. Lily is desperately waiting for her mate to show up. she never even dated a guy before. she's saving herself for her mate only. so, I think, Darrick and Lily can never be together. in this story, Darrick will be left heartbroken in the end and I feel bad for Darrick. even if Lily's mate never show up, then too, she can never be his 'cause she is not just a normal werewolf but a princess and our kingdom will never allow a vampire to be our king. so, either way, Darrick will lose in the end.

Lily's POV - 

It's been three days since Ash didn't talk to me. I don't know what happened to her but she's not replying to my calls. it seems like she's trying to hide herself somewhere. without her, I feel incomplete and alone. I feel myself weak. 

well, right now I am in the backyard of the palace. Today is full moon. so, thinking may be looking at the moon or feeling the moon light falling on our skin, she may respond, that's the reason I am roaming in the backyard. suddenly I felt an heat arising in my heart. what's it? 

Ash, Ash. can you hear me? can you feel it? - I asked as The heat started spreading in my body.

within a minutes, I was on the floor yelping in the pain. this heat is burning my body slowly. it's so painful and Even Ash isn't responding to me. 

uggh..... - a cry came from my mouth but it's not me. 

Ash? - I called her again. 

Lily. - she replied finally in painful voice. 

Lily, please do something. this heat is burning me. it's burning my insides. - she screamed inside my head making me go deaf at her high pitched tone. 

relax, I will bring some ice packs. just don't worry. -  I said and tried to get up from the floor but Ash took control over the body and soon I felt my bones shifting. Ash turned into her wolf form tearing away all our clothes in the process. 

what are you.... - before I can even ask what she's doing, she blocked me out and pushed me back into the mind. I can't fight Ash in her wolf form. 

Ash's POV - 

I knew it. I so knew it. this is our first full moon after we found our mate. so, it was normal to feel the heat period but I didn't know that it can be this much painful. all I want now is my mate with me. I want my mate. I need him. 

so, I jumped out of the palace crossing the walls. I ran faster and faster. soon I crossed our pack boundaries. I ran deep into the forest making my way to the vampire land or you can say the f*******n part of the forest. I know, it's risky but I want to see him once. this heat is killing me. it feels like my whole body is on the fire. I was just running and running as fast as I could at that time but my steps halted in the middle when I felt rustling of the leaves and snapping the twigs. I looked around me and saw that I am surrounded with some dark creatures who is called demons. 

Not now. I am in no mood to fight and kill some stupid creatures. I just want my mate. Is it that hard o understand?

but it seems like demons wanted to die with my hands, that too, today itself. A demon with big black wings and dark black eyes attacked me on my back. I hate such creatures who attack on the back and not from the front. I turned myself and clawed his big wings with the help of my two forelegs. his wings were broken and fall on the ground, yelping in pain. I bite on his neck sending him to the heavens to become an angel. see, I changed a demon into an angel. how kind I am? 

I started running again towards my destination but it looks like demons didn't learn their lesson  from their partner's death. 

another demon came and attacked me on my back lifting me up in the air, holding me with both of his hands. stupid. I kicked his leg with my hindleg making me fall on the ground in this process. well, I safely landed on all my fours and started running again but that stupid creature dared to attack me again. I snapped his neck from his body fulfilling his death wish. 

I again started running but Demons aren't the creatures who can easily give up. so, it looks like, I have to kill some more of them. 

two demons came and attacked me, one from front and another on from back. hey, this is cheating. you're two and I am one. I let out a huge growl in anger. they shifted backward somewhat afraid. I took this as my chance and Jumped on one demon, clawing his one wing completely making him fall on the ground. now, fly with one wing. 

then, I turned to another demon, he was already scared. so, it was easy to kill him. 

I again started running. I can feel myself getting tired. first, these demons, second this heat period and third, all this running thing. how many times I have told Lily to eat more food so that I won't get tired in the middle of something very important but that girl never listened to me. see, now I am feeling exhausted. I don't think, I will get something to eat in the middle of this dark forest and even if I get, I can't afford to eat and lose my life. I really don't want eat these demons in the dinner. they will definitely tastes yuck.

As my pace slows down, I can see the demons flying over my head. I tried to run faster but they surrounded me from all sides. I can feel myself getting weak and tired. suddenly the demons attacked me together. I tried my best to fight with them. I bite them on their neck, clawed them on their wings and faces but soon I felt myself losing my consciousness. The heat was just rising in my body making me feel like I am burning. I tried my best to keep my eyes open and to fight with them but failed miserably and my eyes finally closed but not before listening to that one word. 

Darrick's POV - 

I went in the forest for hunting. It's been almost a week since I last suck blood.  was just running into the forest aimlessly when I smelled her faint fragrance floating in the air. she's nearby. I ran into the direction where the smell was coming from. I ran faster. her fragrance started getting more clear. I can smell her but I can smell other creatures too. I closed my eyes and sniffed the air concentrating on it. Demons, it's demons. this smell belongs to demons. what is she doing with demons? No way, is she in danger? 

I ran faster in my vampire speed following her fragrance. soon enough, I reached a clearing but there are only demons. I can't see her. where is she? I closed my eyes and concentrated to her fragrance only. it's coming from the demons. I ran faster and saw a white wolf lying there in the middle of demons. the wolf was surrounded with the demons from all sides. Lily's smell is coming from the wolf only. 

Lily. - I shouted running towards her but she closed her eyes losing her consciousness. 

I ran towards her but the demons stopped me blocking my way. they all look same with big black wings and dark black eyes. I jumped on one and bite on his neck putting an end to his life. I held one of them with his wings in my one hand and in my other hand, wings of another demon. I soon pulled them away breaking there wings and leaving them wingless in the process. I leaped on another demon and pulled his hands out of his body completely leaving him yelping in the pain. 

I looked at the other four demons which were left with my eyes changing colors. they look at me fear in their eyes. I can read their thoughts and they seems very scared. 

I smirked reading their thoughts. I jumped on them and killed them one by one by biting on their neck and sucking their blood. I think, I don't need to go for hunting at least for a week. four demons are quite heavy for dinner. isn't it?

I looked around to search for Lily or that wolf. soon my eyes landed on her. she changed into her human form lying on the ground completely n***d. 

I gulped hard looking at the sight. don't look, don't look, don't look.... - I was chanting it like a mantra taking slow steps towards her. 

I unbuttoned my shirt and took it off. I kept looking at her face trying my best not to look at anywhere on her body. well, for me, it was as hard as to eat vegetables. it was nearly impossible. I took a deep breath and her intoxicating smell soon filled my nostrils. 

Damn, why it's so hard? I just have to make her wear my shirt. that's it. 

just make her wear the shirt. - I whispered to myself and closed my eyes more tightly. 

my shirt was in my hands waiting to hug her perfect milky white skin. 

I looked at her face only and then, I took her one hand and slowly slipped my shirt's sleeve on her hand. 

I sighed in relief. just the second one left. 

I scooped her in my arms lifting her upper part a little above the ground. Tingles run into my arms as my skin came into the contact with hers. 

I took a long breath and quickly slipped the other sleeve on her other hand trying to not to think much about her body. 

My gaze was fixed on her face, as I buttoned the shirt all the way from her neck to her waist. I looked at her. she looks so cute in my shirt. 

and hot and sexy too.

I shook all the dirty thoughts from my mind  and scooped her fragile figure in my arms and ran towards the vampire palace in my superfast speed.
