the most delicious smell of the wet soil mixed with rain drops hit my nostrils.  hmmm.... my favorite.  Ash started screaming 'Mate', 'Mate', 'Mate' in my head.   he's our mate. he's our mate, lily. - Ash screamed jumping up and down in my head. calm down, you stupid wolf. this is not the place to show your animal side. - I said to her trying my best to make her understand.  Hmm... but I wanna talk to mate. - she whined in my head.  yes, you will but not now. we're sitting between a lot of humans. please don't make it hard for me. - I almost begged in front of her. okay if you say so, lily - she said with a little sadness in her voice.  thank god. she understood otherwise I will be exposed today. - I took a long breath.  it's quite hard to hide your identity in the human world. Act like a human when you are definitely not the one. Oh god! It's such a hell of a task. only that's the reason that I don't have any human friend. Humans are cunning and very clever, too. they can even notice the small things.  I closed my eyes to relax myself for sometime and when I opened my eyes they met with his shining golden brown ones. his eyes penetrate deep into mine as if he is trying to read my mind through those beautiful pair of his eyes.  but the intense eye lock soon broke when Mr. Patrick spoke - here is your seat, Darrick. - he said pointing to the seat right beside me.  oh my god, he is gonna sit beside me. what to do, now? oh goodness!  he walked towards me slowly and sat near me. like very close.  his scent surrounded me but it feels awkward. I can smell blood from it. a very fresh blood.  Vampire.  I sniffed the air again to confirm my thought.   yes, he's a vampire, a blood sucker, a soulless creature who knows nothing but only to kill people and suck every drop of their blood.  shut up, lily. you can't talk about our mate like that. you can't disrespect him. - Ash growled in anger listening to my thoughts. mate. huh? bullshit. it would be better if I remained mateless throughout my entire life than having a vampire mate. such a monster he is. - I couldn't help but thought. Liliana. - Ash growled in anger as she fight for the control. she never called me Liliana. she always call me lily or lily - bily but I can see she's really angry but I can't let her take control, not now at least. so, I quickly blocked her. I never did that. I had good relation with my wolf unlike the other werewolves and I listen to her every damn word. I respect her but I really don't want her to create a scene in front of all the humans. so, I did the last thing which I thought to never do that. I blocked her and pushed her in the back of my mind.  The lecture was already started but I feel like Mr. Patrick's voice fade away. everything and everyone is just disappeared around me. all I can feel his scent blocking all my senses and his intense  gaze which was burning my insides.  I looked at him and found him staring at me. It feels uncomfortable around him. he moved his gaze to opposite direction and closed his eyes. I took this chance to see him properly.  he is indeed very handsome. his hairs are pure black in color and are falling on his forehead making him look more handsome. his perfect straight, long nose, then his high cheekbones, perfect red lips and then his sharp jawline. God must have carved him in the holidays. such a perfect specimen. I saw him wearing a black shirt with dark blue jeans perfectly paired with black shoes.  seems like he's obsessed  with the black color. I don't like black much. my favorite color is white.  I was just reading his facial features when his eyes met mine. they are no more golden brown in color. They become black, pure black as he stared deep into my ocean blue eyes. he kept looking into my eyes. after sometime, he closed his eyes and when he opened them they are dark brown in color. it feels like if he's trying to control himself.  after a while, he moved his gaze to Mr. Patrick. I keep observing him. he is sitting like a statue. he's not moving, not even an inch. my gaze fell on his shoulders and chest. I took my entire time to observe him. later, I found out that he's not breathing at all. I can't even see the slightest movement in his chest muscles and shoulders. he's looking like a museum specimen, completely dead. My focus was on him completely. I stare at him like a creep trying to find out the reason of him not breathing but I couldn't. he didn't even take a single breath when my eyes were completely fixed on him. suddenly the door bell rang indicating the lecture is over and I swear, as the bell rang, he almost ran out of the classroom like if he sit another minute with me, then, he will get plague.  Mr. Patrick too left the class and I left a long breath I didn't know I was holding.  well, vampires don't get sick.  but something is definitely wrong with this Darrick von Stein but I will find it out.  I went to my next class. thank god that Darrick wasn't there to make me feel awkward.  later that day, In Cafeteria -  I sat with Karl, Mark, Ava and Sarah eating my food listening to Mark's silly jokes and trying to form a smile at my face at least until when I smelled him, the wet soil mixed with rain drops.  he was coming here, hmm I can feel it. I can feel him coming towards me. his scent is getting stronger and stronger with each passing second. now, I can no more focus on food.  he entered inside through the cafeteria door with a girl and two boys. our table is just in front of the door. so, I can see anyone weather who is coming and leaving the cafeteria.  I sniffed the air to find out who are the others?  yes, others are vampire, too. I can smell it.  The girl is really beautiful with shining blonde hairs which reached past her shoulders. her eyes are hazel green in color with a cute button nose and a little chubby cheeks. then, the dark red lips which just gives a feeling that she just killed someone and sucked the blood. anyways, her skin is also pale white but she is looking good wearing black stripped jeans and a leather jacket.  and the boys were handsome but not more than the Darrick. the one who is sitting with the girl is pale white with orange hairs which make him look like Ed Sheeran's little brother but he's quite muscular. his eyes are......  well, just say I couldn't identify the colors. his eyes are the mixture of the different colors. he's wearing a grey colored shirt combined with the black jeans. the other boy looks younger than all of them. he's a guy with brown hairs which were falling on his forehead. his eyes are dark brown in color with a perfect jaw. his body is perfect with all the muscles. so yeah, he's looking quite handsome in green colored T- shirt with blue jeans. Liliana. Liliana. - shouted Mark in my ears.  yeah, you know, I am not deaf. so, you don't have to shout and make my ears bleed. - I answered him while my gaze was fixed on Darrick.  you seems lost. Is everything alright? - he asked with a little worry. hmmm... yeah. everything is fine. do you guys know who are they? I never saw them here in our school. are they the new ones? - I asked while looking at their table.  well, they are vampires - Mark said through the mind link.  that I know, you stupid. I mean, I never saw any vampire, here. then, how come they are here? - I asked the question I wanted to ask from the first time since I saw Darrick.  hmm... even I don't know but I will find it out soon. well, they are the new students in school. - he informed me like he just discovered that Earth revolves around the sun.  what were you guys talking through the mind link? - Asked Karl taking a bite of his sandwich.  no, It's nothing. - I said sipping my very favorite orange juice.  I looked at his table and found Darrick directly staring at me with a smirk on his handsome face.  they didn't order anything. they were just sitting casually occupying the space.  I moved my gaze from him to the food on my table.  I started eating again but I can't help the urge to look at him just once but whenever I looked at him, I found him staring at me with his eyebrows furrowed together.  why is he staring at me like that?  you were staring at him before. now, when it's his turn to stare at you,  you want him to close his eyes? - asked my dear wolf, Ash.  hey, I was not staring, I was just observing him. - I said.  I am your wolf, lily - bily. I know you from inside out. - She said with a big smile. Just look at him. how he's staring at you? - she said to me through the mind link. I tried my best to steal a glance without his notice but he caught me staring at him.  Damn my luck! his gaze was burning holes in the back of my head but I denied to look at him even once.  oh moon goddess! why is it so difficult?  lily, why can't you just accept the mate bond - I heard Ash saying with pure sadness in her voice.   we will talk about it later, Ash. now is not the time. - I said as I heard the voice of ringing the bell telling us that lunch time is over.  well, the rest of the day went in the blur. I didn't saw Darrick after the cafeteria to which I am really thankful.  when I returned home, I directly went to the Dad's office to meet him. I was about to knock the door and ask for the permission but my hand stopped in the middle when I heard the word 'vampires'. I hide behind the curtains trying to listen what they are saying.  Dad was talking to Mark's father, Erick.  sir, I found out that some of the vampires entered into the forest, last night. - Erick informed.  hmm.... so, are they in our lands? - Dad asked.  no, they are not. they are currently in the prohibited part of the forest which is far away from our land. - Erick answered. Okay. Increase the number of guards at the borders. I will myself check the security. - dad said to him. you don't have to hide princess. If you want to listen the conversation, come inside. Evaesdropping is not good at all. - dad's voice boomed in the whole room.  now, no need to hide. he always finds me out - I muttered under my breath coming outside. I am your dad, princess. you have my blood in your veins. - he said smirking at me.  I stood in front of me looking down like a kid who just made a mistake and is now apologizing to her teacher.  so? - he asked raising his brow at me.  so what? - I asked mirroring his expression.  why you come here, princess? - he asked me looking directly into my eyes.  I heaved a long sigh and sat on the chair in front of him.  actually dad, I want to talk to you. - I said fidgeting with my fingers.  That I know, princess and I know that it's really very important thing that you want to talk about. - he said without breaking eye contact with me.  actually, today there are some new students in school. they were vampire. - I said. hmmm..... That's it? - he asked staring deep into my ocean blue eyes as if trying to read me.  yeah. that's it. I just wanted to inform you. - I said not breaking eye contact.  hmm .... okay. You don't go near them. you have to stay away from them as far as possible. - he said in his warning tone.  I just nodded my head and stood up from the chair.  go and take some rest. don't think too much, princess. your daddy is still here. - he said coming towards me as he patted my head and told me to leave.  I just follow his orders and walked out of his office.  well, it was hard. lying to your dad, especially when he know you inside out is such a hell task. why didn't you tell him that we found our mate and he's a vampire? - Ash asked to me completely confused.  no wonder that your are strong and powerful Ash but still you're an animal who doesn't have a brain. Well, I will tell him when the right time comes. - I said with a smirk on my face.  you know, we're the same person. - Ash repeated my dialogue offended at my comment about calling her an animal.  but it's truth, she's an animal.
