Episode - 14

Darrick's POV - 

It's been three days that I am ignoring her and didn't even tried to talk to her. I behaved like a complete jerk. I know that I hurt her badly. I can't forget her face when I said those mean words to her. she was on the verge of tears that day. I regret that moment. I want to apologize to her but I couldn't gather the enough courage to do so neither she tried to talk to me after that but I could see that she cried. her eyes were red and puffy. It makes me angry on myself. I shouldn't have shouted on her in front of so many people. It's all my fault. 

today morning, I came early as usual and waited for her to show up. she always comes late no matter how much Mr. Patrick taunt her to be punctual or to be on the time. she have a smart mouth. she's a fierce girl who doesn't take anyone's bullshit, not even Mr. Patrick's. I smiled at the thought of her arguing Mr. Patrick. she's just perfect. 

my train of thoughts came to an halt when I saw her coming with a guy by her side. I don't know who he is. I never saw him in school before. Is he a new student? how lily knows him? I sniffed the air and his dirty smell filled my nostrils make me want to puke. so, he's a werewolf. not bad. wait, Is he Lily's relative? he looks quite old for a high school student. what if he's Lily's mate? 

HELL NO! NEVER!

The chain of my 'Thoughts Express' (train) was pulled by none other than Miss Lily and it stopped immediately when Lily sat beside me. The wolf guy too came towards us and then, what he did next made  me furious. that good for nothing dog, threw my bag behind and told ME to sit there so that he can sit next to Lily. Trust me, I tried my best to not to just snap this wolf's neck then and there but what Lily did next left my mouth hung open in shock. she exchanged her seat with the girl sitting behind us. then, she went from there and sat next to that d*ckhead on the second bench in the row, leaving me behind all furious and enraged. I swear, I just want to smash this jerk's head into the wall until it started bleeding heavily, then, I will rip him apart and feed his bones to the street dogs. I just want to bury him deep down into the ground alive where no one can find him ever in the lifetime. 

suddenly the bell rang indicating that the lecture is over. Mr. Patrick left the classroom and so the students. Lily too left from there with the Jerk behind her. she didn't even glance at me, not even once. I don't know why but it hurts. 

Later that day, in cafeteria -

when I entered in the cafeteria, I saw her sitting and talking with that Jerk freely. I know, she sensed my presence but she didn't even look at me once. it feels like she's doing it on purpose to make me jealous probably. my full concentration was on their table. 

here, eat it. it's amazing. - Lily spoke offering a piece of cake to him. 

Thank you. - he smiled. 

then, she started devouring her food like a kid while that jerk was staring at her without blinking his eyes. 

I zoned into his mind to read his thoughts. 

aww. how cute she is! she looks like a kid. so innocent and cute..... - I clenched my jaw listening to his thoughts. I am sure my eyes must be blood red in color by now. I ran out of the cafeteria  as I don't want to lose my control and show my monster side to everyone. 

Jack's POV -

Lily is so sweet, kind and innocent. No one can say that she's the princess of werewolf kingdom by looking at her. she's not like those bimbo princesses who thinks that they rule over the world. I have met a lot of Alpha daughters and they think that they born to rule and the people in their pack are their Dad's servants and nothing more. I don't belong to the king's pack, originally. I was transferred here from the Crescent moon pack. I was the best pack warrior there and still I was treated as a slave for that worthless daughter of the Alpha who thinks that world revolves around her only.  when king visited our pack, he was amazed by my fighting skills and he requested me to come to his pack. so, now, me and my family lives here and it's much better than my previous pack. here people respect each other even if it's omega. They treat every werewolf equally and that's what I liked here. 

when Alpha king called me to be a bodyguard for his daughter, I thought that I am going to be in deep sh*t but I couldn't defy Alpha king's order. so, of course, I said Yes but when I met her, I found out that she's not like others. she didn't even raised her voice at me when I ignored her. she didn't show any tantrums and I was completely shocked when she told me to behave like her friend and not the bodyguard. she's not like other girls and it was my fault that I misunderstood her. she's just perfect to be our future queen and I respect her for that. although she's kind and caring but the power she radiates can make you fall on your knees. she's very powerful, I can feel it. 

I can see that apart from werewolves and humans, Vampires too study here, in this school. I have to be very careful. if anything happens to Lily, then, I will be responsible and I don't want anything to happen with our future queen. Alpha king trusted me with the future of the werewolf kingdom. it's a big responsibility. 

Lily's POV - 

I thought that Jack is rude and arrogant but he's a nice guy. I liked him as a friend and I know, he too respect me. he's nice, funny and not rude and arrogant as I thought of him to be at first. well, everything is going good. he is following every rule. he is behaving like a human and not a bodyguard. so, it's not that bad to have a bodyguard as I thought it would be. well, Jack accompanied me in every lecture. 

after the school is over, I told Jack that I have to go to help our librarian. 

why do you work in library? Alpha king don't give you enough money? - he asked completely confused. 

actually, it's punishment given by principal. I did a blunder in the library, a few days ago. so, it's my punishment to help the librarian until the school gets over. - I told him the reason. 

you're just unbelievable. - he shook his head and we started walking to the library. 

Darrick was already there arranging the books. 

what is he doing here? - Jack asked whispering in my ear. 

he too got the punishment. -  I answered whispering back. 

just then, the librarian came and told me the work that I have to do. 

You sit there and read something until I finish my work. - I said to him pointing at the table. 

no, I will help you. - he said coming behind me. 

no need. it's my punishment. you don't have to help me. I will do it by myself. - I politely declined his offer of help.

okay but I will be there with you. I am you bodyguard. did you forget? - he whispered in my ear. 

fine. - I said with a sigh. 

I started arranging books and he was just standing there doing nothing but staring at me. it feels quite awkward when someone keep staring at you. 

Jack, stop staring. - I said not looking at him. 

I am not staring. I am just keeping an eye on you. by the way, tell me, why is this place so secluded? - he asked looking here and there. 

students don't come here often. why read these old books when you have Google and Wikipedia in your pocket. - I said raising my eyebrow. 

yeah, right. - he said and again started 'keeping an eye'. I too started working. 

It's time to leave. - miss librarian announced with a lock in her hand. 

yeah, I am done. Darrick too came from his hiding announcing that he's done with his work too. 

okay, you guys can leave. - she said indicating us to leave. Darrick immediately left from there. we too started walking away from there. 

I am thirsty. do you have water? - Jack asked as soon as we came out of the library. 

I took out my bottle from my bag but it was empty. 

it's empty but don't worry. come this way. - I took him to the school's watercooler. 

here it is. - I said filling my bottle up and handing it to him. 

he started drinking water from the bottle. suddenly an idea popped in my mind. I pushed the bottle more into his mouth causing the water fall on his perfect shirt.

I laughed hard. oh my god! 

wait a minute. - he said and running behind me, chasing me. 

I was running faster and faster. 

catch me if you can. - I said showing my tongue to him. 

Lily. stop. you will hurt yourself. - he shouted from behind but I didn't pay any heed to his words and the next moment, my foot slipped and I was about to fall but A pair of strong arms caught me on the time. I looked up to see Jack holding me way too close to him. he made me stand on my feet. 

suddenly he was pushed away from me and I saw Darrick punching him continuously making his nose bleed. Jack tried to save himself and punch Darrick but Darrick was way too strong for Jack to handle alone. 

I was tried to push Darrick away but Darrick wasn't even listening. it seems like he's possessed by some evil. I swear, I never saw Darrick tin this much anger. His eyes were blood red showing that he will kill Jack for sure. 

I immediately mind linked Ash. 

Ash, take the control and stop Darrick other wise he'll kill Jack. take the control now. - I almost shouted on Ash and with in a second, I felt Ash coming on the surface as she pushed me in the darkest corner of the mind. my eyes changed into the silver color completely telling me that the princess is in the control. 

Ash's POV - 

I ran towards the boys with my werewolf speed. 

stop it. Darrick. - I shouted on the Darrick in my royal tone. I hardly use it but he didn't stop. he didn't even looked at me. 

it never happened before that I command someone in royal tone and he defied to do that. normally, the people cower away listening to my voice but it seems like it didn't affected Darrick at all. I don't wanted to hurt him but I have to do as I am left with no other choice. 

I pushed Darrick away from Jack's body to the ground. 

are you alright? - I asked looking at him. he's injured badly. 

Yes, Princess. - he answered sensing that it's not lily but her wolf in the control.

I gave him my hand and helped him to stand up. he stood upon his feet wiping the blood from the corner of his mouth. 

I looked at Darrick as he marched towards Jack like a raging bull but I held his neck from behind in the tight grip of my arm. so, his back is touching my front, now. 

I told you to stop. didn't I? - I whispered in his ear gritting my teeth in anger. 

and who are you to stop me? - he asked turning around and holding my neck in his tight grip squeezing the breath out of me. 

I must say that he's very fast. 

before I could answer, Jack came and kicked his leg hard to make him fall down on his knees and releasing my neck from his tight grip. 

you good for nothing dog! - saying so, he punched Jack directly on his jaw making him spit the blood from his mouth. 

Darrick stop it. - I shouted at him but he didn't listened to me. 

you worthless b*tch. - saying so, he grabbed me by my neck and slammed me into the wall. 

Jack raised his hand but I stopped him immediately. 

go away. - I commanded looking into his eyes. 

but pri.... - he started but I cut him off in the middle. 

I said get lost from here. - I shouted at him and he followed my orders and left from there immediately. 

his grip tightened on my neck causing me to choke on my breaths. 

I thought that you're different but you're the same. you're no different. you just know how to play with someone's emotions. when you're done with me, you find a new toy to play with, huh? - he said with his voice dripping venom at me. 

I feel pain arising in my heart. I gave back control to Lily as I couldn't handle such talks that too from my mate's mouth. I whimpered in the pain as my eyes turned back to the ocean blue ones. 

Lily's POV - 

I can feel that Ash is in so much pain. it's so hard for her. I looked at Darrick in his eyes. they held pure disgust in them and it hurts that this disgust is for no one other than me. 

where he touched you, huh? - he asked raising his brow. 

here? - he asked pointing at my face. 

or here? - he asked again pointing at my breast region. 

or here? - he asked pointing at my belly. 

do you know what people call the girls like you? sl*ts, wh*re, Pr*stitute..... - he started calling me by names. I spit on his face making him shut his dirty mouth. he was shocked by my reaction. 

No. I am not going to cry for this man. never ever in my life. he doesn't deserve that. not at all. he isn't worth of my tears. 

I know, how I am? I don't have to prove myself to you or anyone. you're just nothing to me. - I shouted at him and gave him a disgusted look. 

I went away from there leaving him alone. I wiped my face from my handkerchief and went towards the parking area where Jack was waiting for me. 

I saw him standing near the car. I looked at him and saw his bruised face. I feel guilty for him. I walked towards him. 

let's go. - I said opening the door and sat in the front passenger seat. 

he too settled in the driver's seat and started driving the car to the palace. the ride to the palace was silent. I didn't speak anything, neither he asked something. it was quite awkward but I was busy in admiring the beauty of the forest to not to think about Darrick but whatever he said hurt me a lot. 

I never wanted this kind of mate. it would be better if I remained mateless throughout my life. no matter how hard I try to not to think about his words and the way he behaved with me but at the nd, he was the only one in my mind and his words keep ringing in my mind. 

we've reached princess. - Jack announced. 

I looked outside to see palace in front of me. indeed, we reached. 

come inside. - I ordered him. 

but prin.... - he started but I cut him off in the middle. 

I said come inside. - I repeated and held his hand dragging him inside the palace with me. 

once, we reached my room. I shut the door and started searching for the first aid box. 

soon, I found it. I looked at Jack and gestured him to sit down. I sat near him and started treating his wounds. 

I am sorry. - I whispered slowly cleaning his wound on his nose. 

no need t..... - he started but I cut him off in the middle. 

no, it's needed. it's my fault that you're injured. it was your first day as my bodyguard and you got injured today itself. I won't stop you if you want to quit this job....... - he placed his fingers on my lips making my mouth shut up. 

first of all, I am not quitting. it's alright, injuries are the part of my jobs. so, no need to feel guilty about it. I love this job of being your bodyguard. - he said giving me a sweet smile. 

I smiled in the return. he's a nice guy. 

you know, you're the best. you would be a great queen in the future. - he said looking at me. 

you think so? - I asked him with a smile. 

yes, of course. you're kind and gentle but powerful and commanding, too. you will be the perfect queen and I am very proud of myself that Alpha king chose me to guard the future of our werewolf kingdom and his precious daughter. - he said with a smile. 

thank you. I just hope I will get success in protecting the werewolf kingdom from every evil eye. - I said with a smile. 

now, come. let's eat something. I am sure, you must be hungry. - I said holding his hand and started dragging him towards the door to feed our poor tummies.
