Episode - 13

what bodyguard? hell no!

Dad, I don't need a bodyguard. I am strong enough to fight. - I said sitting opposite to him. he indicate  Jack to go outside and soon he left from there but not before bowing his head in respect.

it's not for my daughter, it's for the princess of our kingdom. - he said looking at me in my eyes once he was gone.

But dad, I don't go anywhere outside the palace. so, what's the need of bodyguard and all? - I asked completely irritated with this arrangement. 

Dad never let me go outside the palace. I am allowed to go to a few places only, like school, training camp, etc. and that too not alone. can you believe it? 

Okay then, if you don't want a bodyguard. then, forget about the school. - he said looking at the red file in his hand. 

what do you mean by 'forget about school'? - I asked raising my voice a bit. 

don't you dare to raise your voice on me, young lady? - he shouted at me making me flinch at his tone. 

he heaved a long sigh when he looked at me and his eyes immediately soften. I can see he's very stressed. Dad never behaved like this. I am sure something happened. 

Princess, please understand. its' not safe there. you know what, when I was just 10 years old, I lost both of my parents just because of this throne but being Royals, it's our responsibility to take care of the kingdom and we can't do anything in it. being the king, now it's my responsibility to secure the future of this kingdom and you're the future of this kingdom. I spent my childhood to become a strong and powerful king instead of playing and studying like other kids do. I want you to live happily and peacefully but I don't want this throne to go into wrong hands. do you know why I chose you the successor of the kingdom and why not Karl? - he asked to me raising his brow. 

it's because I am more powerful than Karl. - I stated at the matter of the fact.

No. it's not because you're powerful or elder than Karl. it's because you deserve it more than the Karl do. you don't give up, you're intelligent and smart and the last but not least, you have a beautiful heart and soul who only knows how to spread light and happiness. you're exactly like my mother. she was a perfect queen. - he said and a tear rolled down his cheek. 

I went near him and wiped his tears away.

It's alright. you're the best king and the best father in this whole world wide. I am proud of you. I am very lucky to have you in my life. - I kissed his cheek lovingly and he closed his eyes hugging me tightly. 

I will do as you say. - I whispered in his ear as he placed his chin on my shoulder. 

if he feels that I will be safe with bodyguard. then, I don't have any problem.

I love you, dad. - I slowly whispered as a tear rolled down my cheek. 

I love you too, my princess, my lily. Daddy loves you a lot, no matter what. - he said hugging me more tightly. 

I don't know what are you going through, neither I am going to ask you but remember, I will always be there for you whenever you will need me, as a princess or as a daughter. - I said breaking the hug and holding his hands. 

I know, my princess. I know how much my princess loves her daddy. now, you should go. you have other works to do, right? - he said wiping my tears with his hands.

yeah. I am leaving, now. just remember that you're the best king in the history of werewolves kingdom. I am very proud of you. - I said with a smile and left his office. 

In the morning - 

Lily's POV - 

we were having breakfast together when a servant came and announced - 

Alpha, a guy named Jack, is here to see you. 

Dad - hmmm. call him in. - he ordered taking a sip from the glass of his orange juice. 

after 2 or 3 mins. -

Jack came dressed fully in black jeans and navy blue shirt. his hairs perfectly jelled back. 

Alpha. - he called bowing his head in respect. 

oh, Jack. come and have breakfast. - he offered politely indicating to the table. 

Thank you so much Alpha but I already had my breakfast. - he declined very politely. 

I am done. - I announced wiping my mouth and hands with paper napkin and got up from my chair to leave. 

Lily. - Dad called me and I stopped immediately. 

yes, dad. - I answered giving my full attention to him.

I already talked to your school principal. Jack will accompany you from today itself. - he said more like announced. 

yes Alpha. - I replied bowing down my head in respect and left from there with my bodyguard. 

Karl's POV - 

what was that? what's happening and who's this jack? - I asked Mark through the mind link. 

Jack is one of the best pack warrior in our pack and I think, Alpha appointed him as Lily's bodyguard. - Mark replied through the mind link itself as we're still sitting on the breakfast table. 

you know, after that incident, Alpha was very worried for Lily's security. - Mark continued. 

hmmm. I understand. - I replied and disconnect the mind link concentrating on my food. 

Lily's POV - 

so, here I am. it's been 10 mins and he's not speaking at all, not even a word he uttered from the moment we sat in the car and he started driving. 

hi, I am Liliana. - I introduced myself forwarding my hand towards him. 

but he didn't answer me. hell, he didn't eve looked at me. 

do all the boys behave like this? or the ones who meet me, are the especial cases? 

I think, boys become like this after meeting you. you're so boring. - Ash commented. 

I swear, one day you guys will find her dead for sure. 

don't forget that we're the same person. - she commented with a smirk. 

I heaved a long sigh. 

Listen, you have to follow some rules while being in the school. - I said looking at him. 

he finally gave me a look and asked - 

what kind of rules? 

Okay. so, rule no. 1 - don't behave like a bodyguard in the school. behave like a good friend of mine. - I said looking at him.

but I am your bodyguard. so, why can't I behave like one? - he asked me completely confused. 

see, I study in human school. so, they don't know about me being a werewolf princess and all. - I  replied clearing his confusion. 

okay. - he answered looking at the road. 

Rule no. 2 - behave like a human and not some animal. okay?

Okay. - he answered again. 

Alright then, Rule no. 3 - smile a little. don't make this serious face always. 

yes princess. - he answered with a sigh.

last but not the least. Rule no. 4 - no calling me princess and no bowing at all. 

what? then what would I call you? - he asked looking at me with wide eyes. 

you can call me Lily like others do. - I said shrugging my shoulders. 

okay, pri.... I mean Lily. - he said with a smile. 

okay then, let's be friends. - I said forwarding my hand towards him.

hi, I am Liliana James Smith. - I introduced myself. he smiled at me and then caught my hand in his large ones. 

Jack Wilson. - he said shaking hands with me. 

nice to meet you Jack. - I said with a broad smile. 

same here, lily. - he said with a smile. 

now, start the car. - I said taking my hand back from his. 

well, Madam. we already reached the destination. - he said pointing to the school building. I looked outside and saw that we reached school. 

Jack opened the door for me and I came out of the car. 

you don't need to do all this. I can open the door for myself. - I said with a polite smile. 

I know but I am your bodyguard and I like to do that. - he said giving me the same smile. 

Okay. you remember the rules, right? - I asked him one last time. 

yeah, behaving like human, no calling you princess, always smile and behave like your friend. - he repeated what I told him before. 

Okay good. let's come. - I said entering into the classroom and he too entered behind me. 

when I entered the classroom I saw Darrick already sitting there. I looked at the empty seat behind mine and Darrick. 

you go and sit there. - I whispered to Jack slowly. 

No. I will sit with you. - he said stubbornly, not listening to me at all. 

I went to my seat and sat there. I looked at Darrick and saw him engrossed in reading a book with so much interest. 

suddenly Darrick's bag was dumped on the seat behind of course, by one and only, Jack Wilson.

Darrick stood up facing Jack, towering over his head taking a little advantage of his height. his eyes hold the intense anger. I can tell, I am his mate. I can feel his emotions. no, not that much because he's not a wolf but still, I can get the vibes. 

you go and sit behind. I will sit with her, from now on. - Jack spoke pointing at the seat behind. 

who the hell are you to order me, where to sit or where not? - Darrick spoke gritting his teeth. I can see, he's trying hard to control his anger and not to create a scene. 

see brother, go and sit behind. I don't want to raise my hands on you in front of s many peoples. - Jack said patting his shoulder.

I am not going anywhere. - he announced and took his bag and slammed it on our table sitting beside me.

you.... - Jack was about to raise his hands on him but I stopped him immediately. 

enough Jack. - I glared looking at him. he immediately nodded and calmed down. 

I looked at the girl who was sitting behind me. 

hey, can you exchange you seat with me, please? - I asked very politely. I can feel Darrick's gaze drilling holes in my skull.

oh, yeah sure. - she replied with a smile and picked her bag to come in the front seat. I moved my bag from front to the second seat in the row. 

I sat there and Jack sat beside me. soon the bell rang and Mr. Patrick entered into the classroom. he noticed Jack's presence in the classroom but didn't say anything. I think, Principal informed him about Jack. 

Mr. Patrick started the lecture and I started jotting all the things down in the paper. I can see Jack looking only at me and all the students looking at Jack. it's all so awkward. 

I looked at Jack and slide a notebook towards him. 

no way. I am not going to do your homework. - he said through the mind link. 

I wear, at that moment, I want to laugh so hard but I stopped myself. 

Just note down the points like I am doing. behave like a human, not some creepy animal. - I replied through the mind link. 

why I have to do that? I am not a student. - he whined like a child in the mind link. 

please. look at everyone. how they are staring at you? - I said trying to make him understand. 

he looked around and saw everyone giving him curious looks. he looked down.

I gave him a pen and he started noting down whatever Mr. Patrick was writing on the board. 

I think, my life is getting much more interesting from now on, handling two boys at the same time. 

I heaved a long sigh and prayed everything to be okay.
