April groaned in pain as she woke up. The pounding in the back of her head made her want to go back under the welcoming bliss of unconsciousness. She was about to give into it, too, until a barrage of memories attacked her all at once. Knowing she was currently in danger was enough motivation to have her sitting up, unable to conceal a wince. She saw a glass of water and a strip of paracetamol on a bedside table and rushed to pop a couple into her mouth. The entire glass of water was gulped down in record time making her realise she had been thirstier than she thought. It made her wonder how long she had been knocked out for.
