Gone to soon
Rachel was born on August 28th, weighing 7lbs 8. A beautiful healthy baby girl. Her mother Amanda (19 years of age) and her father Andrew (26 years of age) were the proudest parents you ever did see. Rachel was adored by everyone and was definitely a daddy’s girl. She spent a lot of time around her paternal grandparents Marion and Reg. Unfortunately when Rachel was 18 months old her mother and father decided to go their separate ways due to her mother’s habits of cheating. Rachel had set days where she’d spend time with her mother Amanda and time with her father Andrew. For a living Andrew was a semi professional Rugby player for the local towns team and was also a rugby coach. Rachel would go and watch his practices and cheer him on from the sides. When Rachel was two years old, Amanda and Andrew reconciled and got married. Unfortunately this didn’t stop Amanda’s infidelity. She’d bring Rachel around all these strange men and make her lie to her father about where they had been all day. Andrew being a lads lad had the tendency to drink a lot and he could definitely put away a few pints. One afternoon Rachel’s parents got into a huge fight right before Andrews rugby game was about to start. Amanda decided she was sick of Andrews temper and decided to leave him. Unbeknown Andrew returned home from his win to an empty home. He didn’t noticed from being intoxicated with countless number of drinks. Andrew wanted to make himself some food, so he turned on the cooker to heat up some oil, to fry some chips. Something he used to go to his mum and dads Marion & Regs house for after a big night and win. Marion would make him food, but this time they were out of town visiting their daughter who were currently living in Canada with her own little Family. Andrew stubbled to his arm chair where he slowly drifted off to sleep. The oil in the pan was burning to the point it got so hot that a fire broke out. Andrew never did wake up from that sleep. The smoke had become to much. Rachel would never get to see her father again. *********************************************************6 weeks had passed since Andrews funeral, Amanda couldn’t bring herself to explain to Rachel that daddy wasn’t here anymore. Amanda had just found out that she was 16 weeks pregnant. As time passed on October 12th, Andrea was born in memory of her dad Andrew. She was a tiny little thing, with lots of jet black hair. Rachel just adored her little sister. Marion and Reg sadly denied this little girl as their grandchild. It was to painful to accept in their eyes. They knew of Amanda’s infidelity and how Andrew was wanting to get a divorce. Was Andrea Andrews child? Or was she a love child of someone else’s? Regardless Marion and Reg eventually came round and started treated Andrea the same as they treated Rachel. They took them away on holidays, on days out. These two little girls were the happiest children they could possibly be given the circumstances. Reg became like a father figure to both girls and Marion was like a second mother to them, Who they came to call Nana. When Rachel was 5 and Andrea was 2, Amanda had met a man named Nick. 9 months later they had a son named James. Nick raised these two little girls as his own along with his son. They all moved into a brand new 3 bedroom beautiful home that Amanda had designed with her inheritance money from Andrews Life insurance payout. Marion and Reg would help out and have the girls every weekend, which the girls loved! Almost a year later, just before James’s first birthday Nick and Amanda tied the knot. 2 years after the wedding Amanda had welcomed another baby girl, Jayne. This time Amanda’s pregnancy didn’t go to well and Jayne was born 3 week early. Due to a complicated delivery Amanda has to have a hysterectomy at a young age of 27. A busy household meant another move was on the cards for this family. Meaning Rachel had to change primary schools due to changing areas. *********************************************************Rachel was an 8 year old girl, she was quiet and shy. she wouldn’t speak to anyone unless spoken to. So starting a whole brand new school and making new friends was very daunting for her. On her very first day Marion and Reg offered to take Rachel to school. They walked her through the school gates and assured Rachel everything would be ok and they will be waiting for her at the very same gates when she finished. Off she went skipping into school. Mrs Pinfields was Rachel’s teacher, she’s introduced her to the whole class and assigned her a friend buddy so she was never alone. Loren was assigned, much to Rachel’s timidness, it turned out Loren actually lived opposite Rachel’s new home. As the months passed Rachel made a lot more friends. Her best friends were Jodie, Loren, Amy, Emma and Natasha. At playtime’s they’d put on little shows and dance routines. Singing away and making up silly games, winding the boys along the way. Rachel was very happy at this school and was thankful too have so many wonderful friends. Before you knew it Rachel was in her final year at primary school, and Rachel had shown an interest in boys. She saw how her mother and step father were and at this point it was something she admired and wanted for herself. A new boy had joined the school, Tyler. He was tall and handsome and had blonde curly hair and blue eyes.Rachel found him so cute, all her friends would tease her. Tyler also has a crush on Rachel. During an end of term treat there was a 5 day trip to Paris, where Tyler had written a note to pass along to Rachel asking if she would be his girlfriend. Rachel agreed and they’d walk around Paris in their assigned groups holding each other’s hand. Giving each other little pecks on the cheeks. It was just the sweetest! But everything gets short lived. Tyler had decided 2 weeks later he didn’t like Rachel anymore and wanted to date their class mate Jenna. Rachel was upset of course but quickly moved on. Young love hey?!
