A piece... of trash?
He thinks that I'm a piece of trash?!
This guy will definitely face my wrath—
“Oh, Eli! There you are. Thank the heavens you're finally here.” Hearing a familiar voice outside his office, the boss went to the door to check what is happening. He heaved a sigh of relief once he saw one of his team heads, just in time as the young investor.
“Come inside,” He said and offered them a seat on his sofa.
The two awkwardly sat on the sofa, still glaring at each other. They sat on both ends, one sitting normally while the other like he owns the whole building. They chose to sit like that, not wanting themselves to be close, even an inch.
Both irritated. Both in a bad mood.
Let's just hope that the boss will handle this with no one going out hurt.
He faced the young investor, who looked like he has the world on his shoulders. “So Mr. Gutierrez, this is Elisiana Tan, one of our te—”
“I don't care who the hell she is. Just go straight to the point, what do you want from me?” He abruptly cut the boss' words.
Eli's ear twitched with what she heard. If he wasn't an investor in the company, she might have taught him a lesson right now. She didn't waste her years taking taekwondo classes for nothing.
'What a scumbag.'
Eli continued to glare at the young man. The latter wasn't even interested in anything, he just wants to go home and rest.
“Oh, o-okay,” The boss laughed awkwardly in hopes that it'll lighten the mood but, nah. It just made him feel the blazing energy between the two. “First of all, I would like to apologize for letting you go here instead of us going to your company.”
The young investor rolled his eyes as they finally realized that they are taking his precious time too much. They should be thankful that he's still in the mood to accept their invitation. Normally, he would just cut them off if they had done something that he doesn't want.
If the boss didn't mind that action, well Eli did. She had enough of his trash attitude and he surely needs some scolding here.
“Hey, you a**hole!—” Luckily, the boss was fast enough to stop his worker from attacking the guy in front of him. It will be war— no. A deadly war if this man would be hurt even a single scratch.
The young CEO scoffed at the worker's actions. He looked straight in her eyes, still sitting like a king on the sofa. “What you're showing right now really proves that you're a trash. How did you even get into this company?”
Elisiana's blood boiled harder with what she heard.
'Who the fvck is he to say that, huh?! Who cares if he's a big investor?! His attitude is a piece of crap!'
Eli scoffed, “You just described yourself, bastard.” Then smirked at the CEO.
“Oh really? If i'm also a trash, I'm a golden one, people will still pick me up. How about you?” he gasped “Poor giel, you'll end up in the trash bin forever,” he smirked at him too, teasing the team head more.
“You know what, I had thought of apologizing on that accident but knowing your true colors, no thanks.” Eli said with her gritted teeth.
“Okay then, the deal with this company is off.” The young investor stood up from his seat and put his hands inside his pockets, “This company isn't even worth my time and money.”
The boss can't take this anymore. Not his precious company, he needs this investment for its growth.
When he saw the investor walking out of the room, he immediately stopped him “S-sir, wait!”
The latter stopped on his tracks, not even looking back.
He pulled the team leader beside him and faced her.
“Eli, you know how important this is, right?” The young head nodded his head, “So, listen to me,”
“Apologize to him properly.”
“What?! No way!” She can't believe this. Her boss prefers that mannerless man there. How could he side with him rather than his loyal worker?!
“Eli,” He held her shoulders a bit tight. “Think about your team, your co-workers, the people who'll be affected if the Gutierrez group pulls out their investment. This is a big chance for our company to boost up. Please help me, a simple sorry won't hurt.”
“But it was an accident! Plus, he's such an a**hole—”
“Please,” the boss let out an expression that scared new for a moment. He just did a puppy eye. A PUPPY EYE. A FORTY YEAR OLD MAN, DOES A PUPPY EYE. “For me and the company.”
Yes, the company is very important to Eli. This is where she practically grew and improved. She thought about it thoroughly, she doesn't want to see the people here, his family, suffer. Most importantly, she doesn't want to see that puppy eyes again. It gives her chills whenever it crosses her mind.
“What? You're wasting my time.” The investor in front of the door complained. They almost forgot about him.
Eli heaved a deep sigh.
Here goes nothing.
Se walked towards the investor and stood in front of him. She was still hesitating but her boss was giving him the eye.
She sighed once again and finally looked straight in to the eyes of the investor. Those glaring eyes that she wanted to prick since earlier.
“I'm sorry.”
It was supposed to be okay since the team head already apologized, but the investor just laughed after that statement. Eli was clearly offended with it so her beast mode immediately went back and turned on.
“What the heck are you laughing at?”
When the investor finally calmed himself, he gave the team head an amusing smirk.
“That's it? Do you think it's enough for what you've done?”
Eli had her brows creased “It's just an accident! You just make dumb things big—” She was cut out when the investor shut him up.
“That's a big thing. I think you're not even sorry.” He turned his attention to the boss, “Look, Mr. Wang, she isn't sincere with hee apology. I guess she doesn't care about your company that well.”
The boss gave his employee a look, signalling that she has to take this seriously or else it might get worst.
“What do you even want?” Eli gave up. for the company, she'll sacrifice her pride just for today.
The investor smirked with his response.
“Grant my wish... Be my slave."
