Zeke looked at me funny, but I didn’t understand why none of them didn’t look deeper into it. Were they really that blinded by rage? Were they really not able to see that something didn’t add up? I didn’t get it, but maybe this family feud had just been going on for so long there really was no peace to find. Maybe all the mysteries really would just continue to be mysteries, and no truth would ever be found.
“What?” he asked.
“Have you never thought how weird it is?” I asked him. “Killian’s father claims Wylder’s father killed his mate. You say Killian’s father killed Wylder’s parents. Wylder says Killian killed his uncle, and Killian claims Wylder killed his mate, and yet I have heard them shout this at each other and both say they never touched the other’s dear one.”
