31 Fortunately for Wendy, Xavier Moreno had had the good sense to phone her on her private mobile. She knew she’d taken a different kind of risk in giving him that number, but she supposed it wouldn’t do her any harm to string him along for a bit. After all, he could prove to be very useful.
