Lucius put his arm around her and pulled her close, the children standing in front of them. “I should have brought you here long ago.”
Adara shook her head. “We’re here now, Lucius. That is all that matters. That, and the safety of our families.” She wiped her eyes and smiled. “I can’t wait to show you everything,” she said to Phoebus and Calliope.
“Can we go into the temple of Athena?” Phoebus asked again.
Adara nodded as he turned to look at her. “Yes, and the temple of Olympian Zeus, and of Hephaestus. We’ll go shopping in the agora, just as I did with your matertera, Alene.”
“She must have loved this place,” Lucius said.
