I needed a celebration for the fact that I am about to marry Alpha Kane and become Luna of this pack. A smile was on my face the second I thought about it. The more that I remembered what that meant, the more that I was ecstatic.
I was more than displeased to see the last person I wanted to see as soon as I made it to the bottom of the stairs.
“What are you doing here?” I immediately asked, realizing that Charlotte was sitting right there like a helpless puppy.
“ Oh, there you are,” she said, immediately standing up.
I could see her face changing on the spot. She went from looking rather depressed and helpless, hopeless, and in need of a hug, to suddenly looking like the typical Charlotte, the bully I knew and the same conniving b***h that I definitely have always known that she is.
