Episode1
Anna’s POV I had imagined this reunion several times, thousands of times cannot capture the exact amount. My heart began to pound faster out of excitement as we drew nearer to his mansion. I had thought about this. I’ll give him my virginity today, he has waited so long and has been patient and loyal. I alighted from my car without parking it properly and then went to the house. It was locked, he’s probably at work. I looked at his G-wagon, which is proof that he’s home, he doesn’t go anyway without his G-wagon, he takes so much pride in it, and calls it his baby. I entered the passcode of the house and the door granted me entrance. I dropped the box of chocolate I had bought for him in the dining kitchen. None of the workers were around. “What’s happening?” I asked no one in particular. I went up the stairs and grinned from ear to ear, five months apart. And as I got to the front of his room, I heard moans, loud ones, from a man and woman. The man’s voice was unmistakable, it's Jeremy’s, but the lady’s? It sounded familiar, but it didn’t click who it was. I tightened my fist, definitely not prepared for the next blow on my face… as I pushed the door open, my world stopped, my head began to throb, there, entangled on the bed are two people I hold dear. “Jere? Lois?” I couldn’t control the hot tears that were already streaming down my face. Lois’ face drained of color, but Jeremy didn’t show an iota of regret. “Why are you here today? You weren’t supposed to come till a few months more.” Muttered Out of shock and disbelief, I asked him, “Is that what you’ll say?” I was sure he wasn’t remorseful. He looked at me with disgust and distaste. “I’m glad you finally caught us, because I’m tired of hiding her from the world.” “I never expected it from either of you.” It began to add up, “So Lois, you advised me to take the study abroad because of this?” My hands showcased the ‘this’. “Shut up your filthy mouth,” Lois shouted, suddenly finding her voice. “You act all holy and perfect just because you’re a virgin, who knows if you still are.” She mocked. I was filled with disbelief. My 6-year relationship down in the drain, and my 20-year friendship, washed down. I ran out of the room and out of the mansion, running out was long overdue. I didn’t even know how I got into the car nor how I ignited the engine. But I was fully aware of my trembling figure, as I drove recklessly out of the estate, I began to wonder how I could forget about him, about her, about them! About me wasting several thousand that I worked my a*s for just to come see this terrible liar and cheat. How didn’t I notice the type of horrible person he was? And Lois? Before my father died years ago, he was the one sponsoring her education, lifestyle, even taking care of her parents, who are doing fine for themselves now. Lois has always been my support and adviser, and I obviously do follow her advice, as if I’m dumb, as if I don’t know what I’m doing. I took her as not just my best friend but as my sister. My heart has been crushed, and I can’t describe how much it hurts. Without realizing it, I found my way to a place people come to forget, to drown, current the biggest in town, a club and hotel, ‘Eclipse Royale.’ I hesitated, and I reconsidered going to my aunt’s house. The hefty men at the entrance bowed a bit and opened the glass door for me. “Welcome to Eclipse Royale,” one of them announced. "Thank you," I replied. I saw my reflection through the glass door, my makeup had been smudged, and I held my phone very tight as I kept my car key in the pocket of the jeans I’m on. The music inside was not as high as I had thought it would be. What was I expecting? It was a place for the wealthy. I went to the bar. “It’s your lucky day today, you’re our hundredth customer, so your drinks are at the night and if you decide to sleep in, it will be free of charge.” “Is this a joke?” I asked, rubbing my face gently, trying to check if I’m dreaming. This day has felt like a dream, now it feels even more surreal. “No ma'am, it’s not a joke, what would you like to drink?” The bartender asked, and I just stared at him, still not able to believe that. All this isn’t a dream. How can I be lucky on the day I got to know my boyfriend is a f*****g cheat? “In that case, give me one of your strongest wines,” I demanded. “It will be right up ma’am,” he replied. I took a few cups, asking for more, and taking it all in a gulp, I could feel the room spinning, and my mind was warning me to spot, I know how horrible I am with alcohol. That is the other reason I avoided it, what others would take and still be sober. I could take it and be extremely drunk. A man walked up to me as I was about to take my next glass, but I gave him an icy stare, and he raised his hand up in surrender. Another winked at me from a corner and I laughed. Most of these men have partners they still look for women to sleep with. “Rough night?” I suddenly heard, and I turned to the direction where the voice came from. There was a man in a shirt. I can’t see the color with the various colors displayed here. “Yeah,” I answered. “You must need company then,” he said, but I hissed, suddenly irritated by the vivid interest in his voice. I thought he looked different, but alas! How wrong of me. I looked back at the bartender. “I’ll take the room you told me about,” I said, and he nodded, checked somewhere down, and brought out a key card with the number 166. “Third floor, ma.” he said, and I nodded in appreciation. And I didn’t spare that ‘you need company’ p*****t any other look. I left that spot staggering and unable to think straight. I used the elevator to the third floor and looked for room 166. On seeing the bold number plate above the door, I barged in. Before I knew it, I felt someone’s hand around my body, as if the person had been waiting for me. At that time, the numerous drinks I had were catching up with me and I just gave in. “I’m a virgin.” Those were The last words I said.
