Chapter twenty Rage

Their feet carried them faster than they had ever gone before. They could see their back yard, her pleading was louder now. They reached the steps where their tank tops and basketball shorts were. They didn’t even bother putting on shoes. They raced up the steps and through the door, turning hastily around the corner. They hated the basement but they took the steps by two. They got to the bottom of the steps and saw their mother pacing. “Where is she?!” Dom howled. “I don’t know,” she was quiet. “Yes, you do! She mind linked us that she was here!” Ashton yelled “She’s in trouble mom! Tell us right now!” Dom ordered. She sighed and turned to the wall and put the pin into a thermostat. The wall started to open and as it did they forced it open faster. Exposing a man sexually assaulting Emma. Their eyes turned black and they could smell her tears. “It’s not what it looks like Alphas!” The doctor tried to explain. He pulled himself out of her and had started pulling his pants up now. She was trying to scurry away from him. She hid in the corner away from them, trying to get into the bathroom. Lucinda hurried into the bathroom with her. Emma showered to erase the unpleasantness while her mates made light work of the doctor. She could hear the shrill screams of pain soak the air. She felt to dirty so disgusting. No matter how hot the water seemed like it couldn’t be hot enough. When she finished Lucinda handed her towels and a robe. “I cannot express how sorry I am. I never should have left the room. But you were just so mad at me I wanted you to get the care you needed.” She apologized. “I thought… I thought he was going to help me. I thought he was going to be nice to me. I never expected him to do that to me.” Emma answered stiffly. Lucinda peaked out the bathroom door, blood stained the walls and splattered everywhere. “Close your eyes,” she said as she came to me. “No,” I tried to complain she cut me off. “There is blood everywhere, and I’m not going to allow you to see it. You have been through enough. I will not ask you what he said if anything.” She was trying to soothe me. Emma closed her eyes and let Lucinda lead her out of this room. Emma opened her eyes to find them getting ready to climb the steps that were streaked with blood. Emma’s POV I saw the blood streaked steps and a chill ran down my spine. I knew that it would get worse once they knew what Dr. Black said. I wanted a second opinion but I will not go back to a doctor alone. EVER. Lucinda rushed me up the steps and threw the kitchen and up to Ashton’s room which has become our room. Dom’s room was mostly used for their pack stuff and had been transformed into an office. I was so thrilled to be back in a room that was filled with the smell of them. I smiled to myself and almost forgot I was only wearing a robe. Lucinda was watching me, I could see the hurt on her face. Her job as Luna is to protect the packs women and children. She felt like she failed me, in away she did because I wouldn’t have been in that situation if not for her and Grady. I stood and got into Ashton’s dresser grabbing sweatpants, then to the closet for Dom’s shirt. I didn’t even pay attention to the colors. Going to the bathroom to change I sighed this is home. Tossing the robe off I quickly dressed. I returned to find Lucinda sitting on the bed face buried in her hands. “What’s wrong?” I asked. “Do you know why he did that, Emma?” She asked in a broken voice. “He said, that no one cared about me that’s why I was locked away. He said that it I let him have his way he’d tell you I was too sick to be kept down there.” I said void of emotion as I climbed into the middle of the bed. “I-I didn’t mean to make it seem as if we didn’t care. We were trying to hide you from him.” She shrieked fighting the tears. “Who?” I was puzzled. “Your father! We promised that he would never ever find you! We had that room built for you for if he ever came back. The maids are preparing a different room for you all down the hall. It’s lovely the bedroom has a double panes window of stain glass. The bathroom has a very small horizontal window. None of the windows can be opened.” She was still looking down. I smelled them. Their delicious smell as they came down the hallway my excitement filled me. As they entered room she stiffened knowing she had lied to them. “Mother, can we have some alone time with her?” Ashton asked her sweeter than sugar. While Dom scowled at her eyes still black. They only softened when he looked at me, the monster faded. Lucinda left I only noticed because of how quickly they were at my sides. “Luna,” Dom greets as he snuggles his face into my hair. “My Emmie,” Ashton cooed as he laid on my chest. “My twins, I love you.” I beamed happily. “Why didn’t you tell us sooner?” Dom groaned. “They said they were protecting me and by you thinking I was gone you’d be stronger. Less forgiving.” I answered weakly. “ I understand why they did it but I don’t like it.” Ashton said. “ I have some exciting news if that makes anything better!” Trying to change the subject. “Oh yeah? What’s that?” Dom’s dark eyes turned blue as they filled with wonder. A smile spread across my face as both he and his brother waited in silence. “I’m pregnant!” I practically shouted. Dom’s lips were on mine in a second while Ashton pulled my shirt up to kiss my belly. I felt him whispering sweet nothings to my belly. Dom’s hands explored my belly wherever Ashton wasn’t kissing I knew they wanted me right then and there. Honestly I didn’t want s*x, not right now. I needed to be held, protected. I felt their hunger on the mind link so I decided to tell them on the link, “will you just hold me tonight? After today I’m not ready to be touched sexually. I am so sorry my loves.”
