"Elara, I think Leo is having a fever. He is burning up." I heard Aiden say as I busied myself in the kitchen, whipping up breakfast.
I did not think he could do it, but he surprised me by taking up a fatherly role soon as my babies were born.
Ember had successfully secured a job in the first trimester of my pregnancy so Aiden offered to help me watch the kids in his free time since I had to work too.
Hastily, I unfastened the apron around my waist and threw it on the kitchen counter, making my way over to him.
Gently, he handed Leo over to me and I placed my cheek next to my pup's own in an attempt to check our temperature differences.
"I will go check on Luna." He said, walking off in the direction of the room.
Soon, he came back with my other pup in his arms.
