The next day, Mr Voss and Lord Alexander both rode the carriage to the high council. Getting to the big building, they stepped down from the carriage. The place was busy with both men and women walking in and out of the building.
The council building was painted in black and white with creepers on the walls. It was an old building but it was still standing and very strong.
The council was created since the beginning of the vampires and humans before the discovery of witches. It was created with rules so that the vampires as well as humans would live together in peace and punished those who didn't follow the rules. It was justice. And when the witches came into existence, witch hunters were assigned to stop them and control the damage that was made.
The men made their way to the head office. The council was controlled by three people, two men and one woman.
Stepping into the room they met the heads of the council. The woman was a pure-blooded vampire while the man sitting next to her was an average vampire. The last member was human. Without wasting much time the papers were passed to Mr Voss to sign, accepting that he'll become the next Lord of Belmont. After everything was finalized, the head council members congratulated the newly appointed lord.
In another mansion, Mr Moritz entered his mansion with a furious expression. He'd been out in one of the pure-blooded vampires' houses when he heard the news of his son playing a stupid prank on the children who were attending his son's party, making him embarrassed. He was an average vampire who was trying to gain favor from the other higher vampires but his stupid son had ruined it for him.
As if on cue, Collins came out to greet his father, hoping he hadn't heard about what happened. He didn't even get the chance to speak when his father slapped him. "You little fool, who told you it was alright to play a stupid prank like that?" "Do you know what you've caused me?" The man was more than furious. "Father I..." Collins tried to explain but his father didn't want to hear any of the rubbish he was going to speak right now. "From today you're not allowed to step out of this house or hold any party. Have I made myself clear?" Moritz glared down at his son. "Yes father."
Mrs Poppy heard the little commotion and came to see what happened when she saw her son running back to his room. She went to comfort her husband. "Honey, please go easy on the boy." She placed her hands on his shoulder. She wasn't around when the incident happened, only hearing about it when she got back home. Moritz glared at his wife. "So you think him ruining our family's name is what? Something I'm supposed to congratulate him for?" "No, that's not what I meant but don't you think maybe it was an accident and was caused by the servants and not our son?" she tried to reason with her husband. Moritz sighed. It could be true, but if the boy hadn't started the stupid party in the first place, none of this would have happened. The couple left there and Mrs Poppy went to her son's room to talk to him and see if he was doing okay.
