CHAPTER 6

"Why is my great Luna unhappy with me? I am nothing more than a slave who obeys orders. I believe the Alpha Prince Luscious is in a better position to answer these queries." Ema responded.

Jaime stayed silent throughout the women's talk. He couldn't help but note Ema's courage and wisdom in her statements. She reminded him of her father, Henry, a strong and courageous fighter.

“As your Luna, I demand to know where you have been all day," Hayley commanded.

“I was at the Bernards mansion, though I didn't spend much time there," Ema responded.

“Where did you go when you left the Bernards mansion?” Hayley further asked in a bid to push for a reasonable explanation.

“That I cannot tell, my Luna. The Alpha prince made me swear to the moon goddess that I won't reveal." Ema responded while trying not to spill any words that would further implicate her or Luscious.

At this point, Jaime became extremely interested in the talk and getting to the bottom of the issue. "I was with Alpha Bernard all day; he didn't tell me his son was hosting any gathering," Jaime interrupted the ladies' chat.

“My dear, something is wrong somewhere.” Hayley expressed her worries.

“Do not worry yourself about it, my love. I will get to the root of the matter,” Jaime pacified his wife.

"Now go and kneel down there," Jaime said, pointing to a location near the dining area. "You will remain there until Luscious returns and answers my questions correctly.

Ema kneeled down, as instructed by Jaime, praying for the moon goddess to bring Luscious home very soon. While the Alpha King and Luna Queen continue their conversation.

Luscious arrived about an hour later, pretending to be inebriated. When he saw Ema kneeling, he realized there was danger. "Where are you coming from?" Jaime inquired, with so much terror in his voice. Jaime is the most feared individual in all of Attah. His voice forces obedience, and not even his children can escape the dread.

“I am coming from the Lake Coast Pack, specifically the Bernards mansion," Luscious replied, shaking but at the same time trying to maintain composure.

“What is it with these lies? I was with Alpha Bernard all day, and he never made mention of any gathering in his home,” Jaime said.

"Dad, the gathering was planned by Monica, the future Luna of the Lake Coast Pack, and it was held on the Lake Coast island rather than in the Bernards' mansion," Luscious replied, resisting his father's powerful voice.

Jaime was losing patience. He knew Luscious was up to no good and that the slave girl played an important role in it, but he had no idea what they were up to.

“Alright then, I will call Bernard to have me talk to the future Alpha and Luna of the Lake Coast Pack,” Jaime said.

At this point, Ema's heart rate had increased. If Scott or Monica spill, it might be her death sentence.

Luscious was a bit shaken. Scott is one of the most honest wolves in the whole of Attah; he doesn't have the balls to lie to his father, so he was popularly referred to as “Scott the honest son.”

The phone rang, and Bernard didn't waste much time picking up the Alpha King's call.

"Hello, your Majesty,” Alpha Bernard greeted. “Hello Bernard,” Jaime responded.

“Could you please have me talk to the future Alpha Scott and his Luna Monica?” Jaime asked.

"Yes, my Lord, as my supreme pleases,” Bernard said while calling on Scott and Monica to join him on the call.

“Tell me, where have you been all day?” Jaime asked the couple. “We were on the island together with Luscious,” Scott replied.

“What were you guys doing there?” Jaime further asked. Scott remained silent, analyzing his next reply.

"We were there celebrating our last days as singles before marriage," Monica explained, aware that her boyfriend's next response could be harmful to Luscious and Ema. "We wanted it kept a secret between us, but my lord inquisitive has exposed it," Monica said.

Jaime took a deep breath, not of relief but of guilt. He knew in his last few months before his wedding he had secret dates not just with his wife but with other girls.

Luscious and Ema both took a deep breath, but unlike Jaime, theirs was one of relief. "It is over," Ema told herself. Just as they were still lost in their thoughts, Jaime asked another fantastic question. "What then is the role of the slave girl on the island?" Jaime asked. The surprising question surprised Monica, who was smart. She never averted her mind to such an issue. Scott responded with, "We needed someone to serve and clean after us till we were done, and Luscious instructed her to remain there and serve us."

Luscious and Ema also took a deep breath, but unlike that of Jaime, theirs was that of relief. “It is over,” Ema said to herself. Just as they were still in their thoughts, Jaime asked another wonderful question. “What then is the role of the slave girl on the island?” Jaime asked. The intelligent Monica was taken aback by the shocking question. She never averted her mind to such a possible question. Just as they were all mute, Scott replied, “We needed someone to serve and clean after us till we were done, and Luscious instructed her to remain there and serve us." Scott's response caught Monica and Luscious off guard. Scott had never lied to an elder before, and Jaime, having heard about Scott's honesty, easily believed him.

“I am sorry for my unnecessary questions,” Jaime apologized. “You guys should endeavor to inform us of your moves next time, so we can send security over,” Jaime added.

“We are no longer children,” Luscious murmured. Jaime hung up the call with the Bernards and commanded Luscious and Ema out of his sight.

Hayley felt guilty having raised an issue that ended up embarrassing his son and husband. “Luscious is now a man; we should let him be one,” Hayley exclaimed.

Ema returned to her room and shut the door behind her, reflecting on the day's events and how happy she was. They almost got caught, but it was worth it. She would accept any punishment in exchange for a repeat of what happened earlier that day. "It is better to live one day and then die than to die every day for years," Ema reminded herself.

Luscious, on the other hand, had no regrets; he had vowed to do anything that would make Ema happy. “She is my mate, and mates lay down their lives for each other.”.

Luscious later crept into Ema's room in the middle of the night; they had grown so accustomed to each other's presence that they no longer knock on their doors before the other party opens them. Ema opened the door as soon as she felt the strong aroma.

"Luscious was greeted with an intense kiss before he could speak. Luscious responded by throwing Ema into her bed and jumping on her. They had a great time and forgot to close the door since they were so excited. The i*********e was more powerful because it was a full moon and their senses, including their s****l desire, were acute. Ema should not have had those senses because she was under 18, but for some reason, she did.

Stephanon, who was feeling feverish at that moment, had gone to the kitchen to get some juice; having not found any already-made juice, he decided to call on his mother's aid. However, on getting to his mother's door, she was making out with her husband, Jaime, because of the intense nature of the full moon on them.

Stephanon is three years younger than Ema; he is the baby of the family and has previously been treated as such. He had, however, been harassing Ema alongside Jeremy for the past year. He has been a little sickly due to the nature of his health since he was a toddler.

Stephanon, having no other option, decided to call on Ema for help.

When he arrived at the second story and approached Ema's door, it was already open. He heard moaning voices but wasn't sure because he knew the slave girl didn't have a mate or boyfriend yet.
