Chapter 4

“So, tell me, when will the engagement be announced in public?” Alyssa couldn’t help but continue to ask. Though she knew that her cousin was not interested, she was still a little curious.

“They planned it to be announced next week. So, before that day, I need to do something. Cous, you know that it is only Erickson that I wanted to marry, right? I cannot understand why all of a sudden they wanted to take control over my life. Erickson is my only love. He is the only one that I wanted to marry. He is my life partner and my childhood sweetheart,” Isabel said, full of emotions.

Alyssa suddenly felt pity for her cousin. It looked like they were in the same situation, the only thing was, if she wouldn’t be able to do anything, she would lose Erickson because of the decision of their family.

“Of course, I know how much you love each other. I witnessed the story of the two of you.”

“Then why don’t you talk to the grandson of the Watson family?”

“You know what? Last night, I can see that he is not interested at all in the marriage. Like me, I can sense that he isn’t in favor of it and he couldn’t just do anything because it is the elder’s decision. Mind you, I already did some research and this man has a girlfriend. She is also his childhood sweetheart.”

“Oh, I see. And where is his girlfriend?” She asked out of curiosity.

“According to the man I sent, he said that she’s in London right now for her photoshoot. She is a model,” Isabel answered.

She couldn’t believe that her cousin was able to get much information about her soon to be fiance.

“Okay,” she pouted and then she took her phone. She looked at her wallpaper. It was her and James. It was their first anniversary. It was one of the events in her life that she treasured the most.

When Bryan woke up the next day, no one was around him anymore but there was a slight fragrance left on the pillow that lingered in his nostrils which reminded him of what happened last night.

He remembered that after the dinner he went up in his room and then took a shower but he was surprised when he went out of the bathroom that there was a woman lying on top of his bed. It was as if she was inviting him for an exciting night.

He didn’t expect that the woman was clean. It was her first time to have a s*x with a man. He was so sure about it. Because of what he had learned, he took her several times. He didn’t know what time he had fallen asleep or when he got satisfied on taking her.

He was a bit disappointed when he woke up and didn’t see the woman. He could see the blood stain on the sheet. Just like the blossom flower.

He couldn’t believe that it was her first time. His eyes suddenly squinted. He couldn’t believe that a sudden interest rose in him. He wanted to know more about the woman he spent the night with. The woman just left after she lost her virginity. That was so interesting.

Some other woman would be crawling down his feet just for him to notice them but that woman was different.

He was about to call his assistant to bring him some clean clothes but after he got off the bed and took a shower, he saw something. In front of his washroom door, he saw an ID Card.

He picked it up.

“Alyssa Grey.” His eyebrows knitted together when he read the name. How was the woman related to the Grey family? And it looked like she was working in his family.

“Alyssa Grey and Isabel Grey. Are they twins?” He couldn’t help but wonder. The woman that he met at the dinner last night had short hair while the woman he was with last night had shiny black long hair.

Willaim heaved a sigh and then he called his assistant again.

“Hello, I want you to investigate this woman. I will put her ID card on top of the bed,” he said and then dropped the call.

He went inside the washroom and he couldn’t understand why he kept smiling as he recalled what happened last night.

The woman’s skin was so smooth. He could still smell the scent of the woman. She smelled like lily and that brought a different kind of excitement in his manhood.

Bryan felt his body temperature rise again just simply thinking about the woman. She could make him aroused at any time and that was so strange. He never felt that way ever in his entire life even towards his girlfriend, Crisha.

He slapped his forehead.

“Yes, I needed to call her!” It had been a month now since they last saw each other. He thought that it would be better for him to surprise the woman. He would just go to her apartment instead of calling him.

Bryan finished his shower immediately after thinking about that and went out of the washroom. He found his new clothes on top of the bed and the ID was not there anymore.

He couldn’t be more proud that he had a very reliable assistant.

Bryan didn’t waste a second and he drove straight into his girlfriend’s apartment. He was going to surprise the woman. He even bought a bouquet of red roses on his way there. He knew that the woman had already come home last night after her tour in London.

He couldn’t wait to see her after a month being away from each other. He was so excited and at that moment, he knew that he had to do something about the engagement that his grandfather was planning for him.

There was no way that he would marry a stranger. He didn't want to hurt Crisha. He knew that the woman was expecting them to get married and grow together.

As soon as he arrived, he pressed the password of the door and it unlocked without difficulty. That’s how they were so close to each other. It was as if the only thing lacking in their relationship was marriage.

They had been in a relationship for so long and they knew each other so well. Crisha knew him and he knew his woman inside and out.

He went inside and the living room was so quiet. It was a bit strange but probably, Crisha was exhausted. He saw the luggages in the living room. She was probably in her room. It was still early. It was just seven in the morning.

It was no doubt because she had been in the plane for a couple of hours and she was probably having a beauty rest.

Crisha was a model and that was the reason why most of the time, she was abroad. That’s why he sees to it as well that he would be spending quality time with her whenever she was in the country. He would always want to make her feel that he loved her.

Bryan went to the room and he didn’t know what he would feel the next moment. He was about to surprise her but he was the one who was surprised as soon as he opened the door.

He turned the knob slowly so he wouldn’t make any noise and not to wake her up.

　　Bryan's eyes went round when he saw Crisha was on top of bed but he was sleeping beside another man and they were both naked!

He couldn’t imagine what he had just witnessed. It looked like his girlfriend was cheating on him all that time. He was a fool.

He thought that he could trust her. He thought that he was a decent woman but he made a fool out of him.

He trusted her a lot. He would never disturb her whenever she was overseas and that was what he would get by being an understanding boyfriend?

His heart tightened but he didn’t say anything. Instead, he took out his phone and took photos of the two while they were still in bed and then left the apartment without any noise. There was no reason for him to bother them anymore.

He brought with him the bouquet of roses he brought for Crisha and just gave it to the lady he met outside the building.

He was enraged. He went to his apartment. Then just after a couple of hours, Crisha was calling him but he didn’t answer.

He just let his phone keep ringing until it stops. Probably, she would probably get tired of it. There was nothing that they should be talking about. Whatever he saw was already enough to cut ties with the woman.

When the call finally stopped, he blocked her number and then next he changed the password of his apartment door.
