CHAPTER NINEMadison The bell over the entrance to the doctor’s office jingled. As Maddy cleaned her room after the last appointment, she could hear Cathy, the receptionist, checking the patient in. Maddy changed the face paper, sprayed the table with disinfectant, and then straightened up her work station before strolling to the back room.
