Maddy didn’t mean to flirt with Matt as much as she was; it just sort of happened. The attraction she felt couldn’t be helped, as much as she tried. But she valued his friendship, and she didn’t want to do anything that could ruin that. Thankfully, they’d gotten past the disagreement about alcohol, and Matt didn’t seem to be holding a grudge about her vocal protest.
Something about this man made her want to protect him and help him. Had his ex-wife ever felt that way about him, or for some reason, had she lost it? Madison should be grateful that Lindsay had let Matt go; otherwise this would only ever be a friendship, no matter how much Maddy was attracted to him.
