I sat completely still, just watching my baby in awe. He isn't even a year old and has found his mate, of course he doesn't know what that means yet and he wouldn't feel the actual effects of the bond until he was of age. Just watching this moment though was emotional, and unbelievably surprising.
Lucy lifted her gaze and gave me a lazy smile, "She seems to really like him, she has been crying for hours.." I gave a polite smile, taking in her appearance. She looked older than she really was. She looked exhausted and too thin. I really needed to get her medical attention, a warm bath and a hot meal. Mark can be a lot to handle sometimes. He has a lot to take in for the normal person. Lucy wasn't normal though. She was far from it actually. She has grown up in this goddess forsaken
