Chapter Four Part Two

A door slammed open. Bella was pulled inside and the door slammed shut.

“Keep going, she’s about to be hurt.” Mitchell said softly.

“We can’t just let it happen.” Kieran said.

“If we don’t, he will hurt the kid she protects from him. He hurts a junior. He’s a senior like us. She protects the junior by allowing him to hurt her. He’s the one that chokes her. But I don’t know about the broken ribs and the busted lips like Mrs Birch told you about.” Mitchell said.

Logan looked at the door.

“Kieran, take over.” Logan said.

“No. He will hurt her more if he is interrupted. Vince tried once when he heard a gasp in pain, that’s why ours are primary school bullying. We don’t want to hurt her but we show her we agree to the rules.” Mitchell said.

“Just go ahead.” Logan said.

Logan opened the door as Kieran helped Mitchell. They watched as Logan locked the door shut. There was a lot of breaking sounds and ruckus.

“Logan, leave. The rules are clear.” Bella said.

“You are the new boy, lets get one thing clear. She is mine.” Mike said.

“Oh really? She is yours?” Logan asked.

“Yes, Bella is mine. She’s my toy, my puppet. My plaything, my punching bag. So, you need to leave and let me have my fun.” Mike said.

“She’s mine. So no, I won’t leave.” Logan said.

Bella’s eyes opened wide.

“Logan, you’re being crazy. Just leave please.” Bella said.

“Bella knows best. Sounds like she doesn’t want you.” Mike said.

Mike slid his hand to Bella’s thigh and Logan noticed it. He noticed Bella’s annoyed face to the hand slowly sliding up. Logan launched forward and started hitting Mike repeatedly. They were shoving each other as Bella was trying to stop them. Bella was trying to pull them off of each other. Bella tried using her strength and her weight to lift Logan off of Mike.

“Logan, please stop. Let’s just go.” Bella begged.

Logan stood up suddenly and Bella fell backwards. Bella felt Logan's arm wrap around her waist quickly as he pulled her up to his side. His eyes looking aggressively at Mike before looking at Bella softly. Then Logan looked back at Mike aggressively.

“Bella is not to be hurt by you again, nor is any other student. Ignore me and I will kill you. A predator like you do not belong in this school or anywhere near a kind person like this lovely lady.” Logan said.

His tone was aggressive. Until he said lovely lady. He soften his expression and looked at Bella again. Logan looked Bella over quickly.

“Let’s get out of here and help Mitchell to the ambulance.” Logan said softly.

Bella nodded. She followed behind Logan, holding his hand. As they reached the door, Mike stood up slowly.

“If you leave, you will regret it Bella.” Mike said.

“I regret agreeing to let you hurt me only. I regret not choking you in my hands the moment I was first alone with you.” Bella said.

Her words shocked Logan, but he could feel the vibe in the room. He picked Bella up and carried her out. Bella wasn’t finished threatening Mike.

“Thank you.” Bella said.

“Thank me by never being alone with him again. It looked like he would have forced himself.” Logan said.

“He planned to, he already told me.” Bella said.

“You were going to let him?” Logan asked.

“If it means he won’t hurt a junior, and r**e a junior, then yes.” Bella said softly.

Logan felt her chest slightly rising and falling faster. He knew she was on the verge of crying. He walked outside to Kieran and Mitchell quickly, then put Bella down.

“Bella, are you okay?” Kieran asked.

Bella nodded.

Bella went into Kieran’s arms as Mitchell sat on the sign on the school with his ankle up.

“Mike is a monster.” Mitchell said.

“Mike was going to r**e her.” Logan said.

Kieran looked at Logan in shock.

“This is why I think public schools are bad.” Logan said.

Mitchell nodded. The ambulance pulled up.

“Tell dad I am going to take Bella home, explain that I will debrief him as to why I skipped class. Unless you want to come with us?” Logan asked.

Kieran nodded.

“I need to go to the lockers first.” Bella said.

“Why?” Logan asked.

“I bought a car, I need to get the keys to get the car.” Bella said.

Logan nodded.

“So, you bought a car?” Kieran asked.

“With money left from my mother and earned from my job. As I explained to Logan, I camp lots and cook on a fire to save money on electricity.” Bella said.

Kieran looked at Logan and saw Logan nodding.

“Okay, well we will get our things then see you soon.” Kieran said.

Kieran let go of Bella’s hug.

“My locker is near yours. So, I am walking with you.” Logan said.

Bella nodded. She put her arms around him as they walked through the school. Logan didn’t pay attention to the eyes on him holding Bella, or Bella holding him. In his eyes, this was justified. Even Kieran just gave her a hug. He was just being protective. But why was he happy about hugging her? Why is she making him feel like he was going crazy?

They reached the lockers and Bella grabbed her keys as well as some of her books. She walked beside Logan again as he walked with his arm around her so no one could pull her into a room again. Once he reached his car, he looked around and saw Kieran walking to Logan's car.

Logan unlocked the car and put the keys in, he turned the air conditioner on for Bella then looked at Kieran.

“I’ll follow in my car. Dad wants to meet her at his work.” Kieran said.

Logan gulped.

“I’ll have to take her to hers to change first.” Logan said.

“Why?” Kieran asked.

“Bella wants to wear a dress when she meets dad.” Logan said.

Kieran laughed.

“Take her to get changed. Then go to dad’s work.” Kieran said.

Logan nodded.

Logan sat in his car and looked at Bella.

“Kieran said our dad wants to see you at his work. I know you want to wear a dress to meet him. So, are we going to yours so you can quickly just change into a random dress then heading to his work, or is this outfit okay? He knows we just had gym.” Logan said.

“Changing. Why does he want to see me?” Bella asked.

“No idea.” Logan said.
