Chapter Four Ending

Logan had some hunches. Logan took Bella to her house, she quickly went inside then she grabbed a bag from under her bed and pulled out a black flowy dress with small black heels. The dress had a v shape on the bust and revealed a little of her chest, a little of her lace bra. But not too much. Bella grabbed her black lace bra and black lace boyleg type panties. She loved how they felt like small pants to her. Bella ran into the shower to wash the sweat off of her body.

Bella quickly used a hair dryer on her hair then she got dressed. As she walked out, Bella had her hair put up. The top half was a bun while the bottom half was out in a wavy motion. Bella had pink lip gloss on and she had her cotton candy perfume on. Logan turned to her and he looked shocked, he had never been more surprised. From an emo look the first time he saw her, to now.

Bella was beautiful and he has never been more proud of himself for being so wrong about her.

“Is everything okay?” Bella asked.

Logan stuttered for a moment then nodded.

“Yes, we should go.” Logan said.

Bella nodded and laughed.

“You might want to keep your mouth closed or you might eat flies.” Bella joked.

Logan laughed as he opened her door and helped her into the car. The dress kept getting Logan’s attention while he drove. He couldn’t stop staring. He didn’t know why. Upon reaching his father's building.

Logan walked in and rang his father.

“We’re here.” Logan said.

“I’ll tell them you and your friend are here.” Matt said.

Logan hung up and said his name then pointed to Bella.

“My father, Matt Nichols is about to call to send us up. I’m his other son Logan, bringing my friend Bella to meet him.” Logan said.

The receptionist looked confused but a security guard heard.

“We have been expecting you two. Your father has been talking about how you are smitten by your friend. He was curious and wants to meet her.” The security guard said.

“She’s just a friend.” Logan said.

“That’s what all boys say at first.” The security guard said.

He spoke in a quiet tone and the receptionist laughed with a nod.

“Bella, come on.” Logan said.

They were led to an elevator on the left.

“These elevators lead to the side dad works on.” Logan explained.

“They are also closely monitored. If you even fart, he will know.” The security guard joked.

“There’s a lady present.” Logan said.

“Where?” Bella asked.

The security guard laughed.

Kieran was waiting on the couch with his dad, they were discussing if Logan’s hunch might be true.

But Kieran kept turning it down. BB can’t be her. But then he discussed how she was almost hurt today and Logan protected her. Matt thinks Logan might feel clingy and protective of her. So, their father thinks Logan might have his first crush. This is new territory for him.

The elevator eventually opened and they saw Kieran sitting on a couch with a grown man facing away from them.

“Dad.” Logan said.

“Took you long enough.” Kieran said.

“Bella lives out of town. Took a while.” Logan said.

“Bella, you clean up nicely. You look beautiful.” Kieran said.

“Thank you.” Bella said.

“Sit down, come meet our dad.” Kieran said.

Bella shook her head. Logan grabbed her hand and walked her over slowly.

“Come on, don’t chicken out.” Kieran said.

Matt turned around to see Logan practically dragging her and he was trying to not laugh as he was dragging her.

“Logan, don’t drag her.” Matt said.

Logan stopped. He let go of Bella and she moved her hands to her side.

Logan picked her up and carried her.

“Put me down you barbarian.” Bella said.

“Relax Bella.” Logan said.

“I will bite you.” Bella said.

“Your threats don’t scare me.” Logan said.

Logan was about to put her down, but Bella bit him hard. He groaned in pain.

Logan put her next to his dad before sitting opposite her.

“Son of a bi*ch, you actually bit me.” Logan said.

Kieran laughed.

“She’s a firecracker.” Kieran said.

Matt was trying to not laugh.

“So, you are the Bella. Nice to have a face to the name.” Matt said.

Bella turned to face him.

“Nice to meet you sir. Did you clean up the pee?” Bella asked.

Matt laughed. The boys raised their eyebrows.

“He did end up using the bathroom for a while, I think I made him do more than pee himself.” Matt said.

Bella chuckled awkwardly.

“So, how come they said you wanted to meet me? Are you going to push me out the window?” Bella asked.

“No, just wondering why there is drama involved around a young girl like you. I can tell you are beautiful, and smart. Brave and strong. So that must be it. These two are bickering like a child over a toy, so you clearly have their protection. You have accidentally started a war between siblings by calling this one an asshole.” Matt said.

“But he is an asshole.” Bella said.

“Yes, but it got this asshole’s attention. And that got the other asshole’s attention. Now you have two assholes trying to get your attention.” Matt said.

“Let’s set the record straight, and you can be my witness sir.” Bella said.

Bella looked at Kieran. She kept looking between the two. Matt watched her closely.

“I have no interest in boys, in relationships, in fooling around. I have none in that. I would father f*ck a corpse than a teenager. Because I am not interested in the jealous bullshit and the being cheated on, the abusive relationships, the fake dates bullshit. That’s not for me. I just want to focus on school and myself. I am only staying for extra credit. I could graduate already, I just choose not to.” Bella said.

“So, you are quite smart?” Matt asked.

Bella nodded.

“I was able to graduate last year. I just stay in school for extra credit.” Bella said.

“That’s a lie, you stay because of what was said today.” Logan said.

“Shut up.” Bella said.

“You were about to lose your virginity to a man so he wouldn’t r**e a junior. You let people hurt you so that they don’t hurt anyone else in school. Stop doing that.” Logan said.

Matt looked at her confused.

“I said shut up.” Bella said.

Bella sounded like she was about to growl, if she was an animal, she would have attacked him. Kieran and Matt raised their eyebrow as they watched.

“No. Can’t you see I am concerned as a friend. Bella he was about to hurt you. He called you ‘his plaything’. You looked sick as he was running his hand up your thigh. Please stop doing this.” Logan said.

“I’m sorry, that concludes this meeting then.” Bella said.

Bella stood up to leave.

“Don’t leave please, let’s just change the conversation.” Matt said.

Bella sighed.

“I don’t feel comfortable now that Logan has spoken about it.” Bella said.

“I’ll take you home.” Kieran said.

“No. I would rather walk home.” Bella said.

“You live in the woods.” Logan said.

“So what? You live in la la land with a stick up your ass.” Bella said.

Logan clenched his fists.

“At least let me take you to the border of town.” Logan said.

“No thanks, I’d rather someone like Jack the ripper.” Bella said.

Matt looked at Logan, why was Logan showing such concern. Kieran noticed it too.

“Bella, look I am sorry. I won’t mention it again. Please can you just sit down or let me take you home.” Logan said.

Bella ignored him and left. Logan sighed.

“You have proven that you do like her.” Matt said.

“I don’t, she was almost r***d at school. I am just concerned.” Logan said.

“Not true. He nearly cried when he thought I had s*x with her. He was about to cry. He said and I quote ‘Why her? Could have had anyone but her.’ And that’s when I realised it.” Kieran said.

“Realised what?” Matt asked.

“I’ll tell you later.” Kieran said.

Kieran watched Logan looking from the window as Matt moved and sat next to Kieran.

“Tell me, should I be concerned?” Matt asked quietly.

“Logan doesn’t know how he’s behaving. He has lost control when it comes to her. He was that protective he carried her out of the school. He said to her, he could never hurt her. He was seconds from a tear falling. She has never even been sweet to him. I’ve heard her being a jerk. He’s falling for her and she’s doing nothing to ask for it. It’s involuntary. I don’t even think Logan knows that he is. He thinks it’s just his body thinking she’s a female friend. But he is constantly looking jealous. He wouldn’t even tag her out in dodgeball. She took all of us out. He was too soft on her and he was trying to let her win. He is competitive. He wouldn’t do that if he had control. I wanted you to see it.” Kieran said.

Matt watched Logan as he leaned on the window. He watched Bella as she walked to the car dealership slowly. Logan pulled his phone out and started texting.

[I’m sorry, I really am. Please forgive me. I wanted to be honest. Please still come to dinner tonight.] – Logan.

He saw Bella looking at the text. She crossed the road then started replying.

[I’ll forgive you and still go. Just leave me alone for now. I need to clear my head.] – Bella.

Logan nodded. He sent a thumbs up emoji and smiled as he watched her. Kieran gestured this to his dad.

“See.” Kieran said.

“I do.” Matt said.

“It's like Logan's a planet and Bella's the sun. Logan finds her and just orbits around her repeatedly.” Kieran said.

“Bad analogy.” Matt said.

When Bella was out of sight. Logan came to sit down and he looked at them as they had their eyebrow raised.

“What?” Logan asked.

“Logan, what do you think you are doing?” Matt asked.

“Getting close to potential suspects.” Logan said.

Kieran snickered.

“I’m supposed to be getting close to her while you get close to this BB person. You need to befriend all the boys.” Kieran said.

“What do you know?” Matt asked.

“We know BB is heartless, and wild and unhinged. So, the person that was about to r**e Bella, which you made an enemy. Might have been BB. You need to fix things and be their friend tomorrow.” Kieran said.

“I won’t befriend him.” Logan said.

Matt rolled his eyes.

“You want to fail this job?” Matt asked.

“I never fail a job. They said this job is expected to go for months.” Logan said.

“So, get to know everyone.” Matt said.

Logan sighed.
