Chapter Five - The Dinner

Meanwhile, Bella got her new car. It was a dark blue mustang with a black stripe down the middle. She loved it. That’s why she bought it straight away.

Bella went to the shops and bought some groceries then went home. She put them into a freezer and cupboard. Bella then went to change her clothes. She ended up wearing long black jeans and she wore a tight black shirt.

Bella put her hair into a bun she stuck it into a wig and put a hat on top. She had fake blonde hair on top. Bella went into town. She pulled out a bag and did some quick and small jobs.

The last job, had misinformed. There was 6 men instead of 2. And Bella ended up getting a mild injury. But she was stealthy for the most part. She burned the bodies and sent the pictures in which transferred the money to her account which transferred through to the next, to the next. It goes on for nearly 2 weeks until she can access her money.

Once Bella was freshened up and dressed up in the black and blue dress, she was driving in her mustang to their house. Logan started getting notifications about the jobs. He saw they were getting completed. The doorbell rang and Milly answered it.

“Hello?” Milly asked.

“Hello, I’m Bella.” Bella said softly.

“Bella’s here!” Milly shouted.

Milly wrapped her arms around Bella.

Matt walked towards the door to see Milly hugging Bella. Kieran and Logan followed with some staff and guests. Kieran also invited Stacey.

“Whoa.” Kieran said.

Stacey didn’t like his reaction to Bella’s outfit.

“Milly, let go of Bella so she can come inside.” Matt said.

“She’s like a princess. Can I keep her?” Milly asked.

Bella laughed awkwardly.

“How about, I will give you a lot of hugs?” Bella asked.

Milly nodded and let go. Bella hugged her after walking inside. Logan noticed a slight limp.

“Are you okay?” Logan asked.

“I broke my other heel earlier and hurt my foot.” Bella lied.

“Would you like to sit down for a bit and rest your ankle?” Matt asked.

“I’m a tough cookie.” Bella said.

Milly stood on the couch and jumped into Bella’s arms.

“I love her! She’s a cookie! We have to keep her daddy!” Milly said.

Logan and Matt tried pulling Milly off of Bella.

“My Bella!” Milly squealed and giggled.

“It’s okay, you can hang out with me.” Bella said.

Matt laughed with Kieran and Logan.

“You are like a princess. Who did your hair?” Milly asked.

“I did. I dyed it blue and black, and I styled it this way.” Bella said.

“Please do mine that way.” Milly said.

“I don’t know if I am allowed to.” Bella said.

“Yes, yes you are. Come on now. It’s upstairs to the dressing rooms.” Milly said.

“Milly, you heard Bella. She hurt her ankle before. She cannot walk up the stairs.” Matt said.

“Logan can carry Bella. She is much lighter looking than Kieran’s date.” Milly said.

Bella pulled a face.

“Oh snap, Milly, you might have just offended Stacey by calling her fat.” Bella said.

Milly looked at Stacey. Stacey looked upset.

“Stop eating chocolate then.” Milly huffed.

“Milly, sweetie, I think we should talk.” Bella said.

Bella picked Milly up properly.

“Spreading hate isn’t necessarily nice. Think of it like this. If you are in the woods, or the rainforest. And there are lots of beautiful animals in the wild. But there is a fire. Would you add wood to the fire, and let the homes of the animals burn and maybe let them burn too. Or would you add water and douse it out?” Bella asked.

Milly looked at Bella then Stacey then Bella.

“Water. Fine.” Milly groaned.

Milly looked at Stacey.

“I suppose not all hogs get cooked in a day.” Milly said.

“Hey, come on now. That isn’t nice.” Bella said.

“Bella, didn’t you call Stacey a bi*ch today?” Kieran asked.

“Yeah, but I at least hit puberty before I said that. Huge difference.” Bella said.

Bella stuck her tongue at Kieran.

Milly laughed and stuck her tongue at Kieran as well. Matt and Logan laughed.

“Milly won’t apologise, I’m sorry Stacey. She is very stubborn. She never apologises to anyone.” Kieran said.

Bella whispered in Milly’s ear. Matt and Logan watched closely.

“I’m sorry Kieran for being mean to your date.” Milly said softly and sweetly.

Kieran looked at her confused.

“What game are you playing at?” Kieran asked.

“No game, I shouldn’t pick on your date. Even if she has more air in her head, than a beach ball. I should be respectful.” Milly said.

“You call that respectful.” Stacey snapped.

“Don’t raise your voice at her.” Bella snapped back.

Her voice was much louder and clear. Milly looked like she was about to cry, she wrapped her arms around Bella’s neck and cuddled into her. Milly gave the finger to Stacey as Bella walked away with Milly in her hands.

“Oh shit.” Matt said.

“What?” Kieran asked.

“Stacey, can you ask the kitchen staff to bring me a whiskey?” Matt asked.

Stacey nodded and walked away.

"What dad?" Kieran asked.

“Milly and Bella are the same.” Matt said.

Matt watched their retreating bodies in shock.

“What’s that mean?” Kieran asked.

“It means, maybe Logan is right. Milly never goes up to strangers, never hugs strangers. Unless she is doing this to make Logan uncomfortable because she knows how he acted the first times we spoke about her. But look how quick she apologised when Bella whispered, and how quick Bella defended her. They are going to be difficult to separate. We have to find out if she is BB. I have never heard a girl act so sweet but drop her tone like that in a mere second.” Matt said.

“I told you. Now let me focus on her.” Logan said.

“You do have a closer connection to her than Kieran.” Matt said.

“And I didn’t invite the girl who pisses her off the most.” Logan said.

Matt looked at Kieran.

“It was short notice.” Kieran said.

Matt’s work friends arrived and one brought their daughter but to his surprise Milly didn’t want to leave Bella’s arms.

“Dinner will be served shortly.” The head servant said.

Matt nodded and led everyone to the dining room.

“Milly, since you are refusing to hop down, are you sitting between myself and Bella?” Matt asked.

Milly nodded.

“Logan’s on the other side of Bella, and Kieran is opposite Milly. Stacey is next to him.” Matt started reading people’s seating out.

Everyone sat where they were told to sit. Logan leaned behind Bella to look at Milly.

“Have you smelled her perfume yet?” Logan asked loudly.

“Cotton candy.” Milly said.

They laughed as she hugged Bella.

“I think she just hugs me because I smell like candy.” Bella said.

“Little bit.” Milly said.

Bella laughed.

Matt and Kieran watched closely as Logan’s phone went off. Logan had a look and sighed. He gestured for Matt to follow him.

“What is it?” Matt asked.

“Dad, she isn’t BB.” Logan said quietly.

“How do you know?” Matt asked.

“Because he has been doing jobs all night. He just did a job that killed 6 people while she was here.” Logan said.

Logan showed the message and Matt gulped.
