Chapter Two Continued

The teacher laughed.

“How the f*ck do you always have a reasoning behind everything?” Mr Klark asked.

“See, you swore again.” Bella said.

“Fine, no warning this time.” Mr Klark said.

“And Kieran keeps his phone on him. I am explaining how to get to the cafeteria after here. Because you know I don’t go to the cafeteria during the first break.” Bella said.

The teacher sighed.

“Fine, no more disruptions.” Mr Klark said.

“But what about explaining about the previous work you went through? Wouldn’t learning be easier if Bella taught me? I overheard she is smart. I asked her to be my tutor considering we have the same classes for everything. So, after I’m taught a few things, we’d be better behaved and quiet.” Kieran said.

The teacher rubbed the bridge of his nose.

“Fine, just talk quietly or text quietly. No one else can though.” Mr Klark said.

“What the f*ck?” Vince complained.

“What did I just say.” Mr Klark said.

“You are letting them talk during class.” Mitchell said.

“What if we left the classroom and went to the library to catch up instead?” Bella asked.

“Oh! Hell no, the librarian is out at this time of day.” Mitchell said.

“And the first lunch break. Which is why I break in, to study in silence all the time.” Bella said.

“And it was why we recorded you breaking in, decided to give you a key and now you can access the library at all hours now with or without supervision.” Mr Klark said.

“Nerd.” Stacey said.

“Nerd that doesn’t need a babysitter.” Bella said.

She did a fake pout to Stacey. Logan noticed Stacey clench her fist.

“I hate you.” Stacey said.

“Awe, I wasn’t put here for you to love.” Bella said.

Bella grabbed her things.

“Just no s*x.” Mr Klark said.

“Sir, it’s me.” Bella said.

“Right, in that case. Act like a normal teenager for once. Flirt, drink, do drugs, have s*x.” Mr Klark joked.

“Sir, no. I’d rather summon and f*ck a demon than a teenage boy. The demon at least can bite me hard.” Bella said.

She laughed as she walked out while grabbing the paper the teacher held for them.

“I’m going to try to get that image out of my head.” Mr Klark said.

“I’m not, damn that’s hot.” Kieran said softly.

The guys in the class had a small smile. Logan had an annoyed look.

“Let me go with them. If he hurts her, I will protect her.” Logan said.

“No.” Mr Klark said.

Logan pulled his phone out.

[Behave or I tell dad everything you just said with her and how you are going alone and skipping class!] – Logan.

[Don’t be so jealous. See you later.] – Kieran.

Logan was getting mad.

[Kieran is skipping class. He persuaded the teacher to let him skip with her to go to the library which has no librarian in there. He’s going to be alone with her. He made a s*xual remark quietly before leaving.] – Logan.

[Just let it be, if she thinks that low of herself, then that’s on her.] – Matt.

[Dad, she isn’t in the right headspace.] – Logan.

[Why are you obsessed with her? Do you like her or something?] – Matt.

[No. You didn’t see what I saw yesterday, and today with Kieran. Just trust me, she needs help and he needs to stay away from her.] – Logan.

[He turned his phone off so there is nothing that any of us can do about it.] – Matt.

Logan sighed. He was anxious for class to finish.

When the bell rang, Logan rushed towards the library.

Kieran was leaving the library after using the bathroom inside it. He pulled his fly up as he was leaving and saw Logan while smirking.

“Logan, fancy seeing you here.” Kieran said.

“You are a sick f*ck!” Logan shouted.

Logan pushed Kieran against the wall. He hit the glass frame and it shattered. The noise startled Bella.

Bella got out of her seat and quickly gathered her things.

Bella rushed out of the library with her books in her hands.

Logan had Kieran pushed against the wall hard.

Kieran dodged a punch from Logan, then Kieran pushed Logan and hit him. Logan punched him hard and pushed him back against the wall.

“What are you two barbarians doing?” Bella snapped.

Logan looked at her in disgust. He saw her looking red. But he didn’t put into consideration that the library had its air conditioning turned off and its fans were off and windows were shut. Logan looked at Kieran again.

“Really! Her?” Logan asked aggressively.

“What about me?” Bella asked.

“Ignore him, he’s clearly delusional. I walked out and smiled. He threw me against the wall.” Kieran said.

“Logan, let him go.” Bella said.

“Why her? Could have been anyone else but her!” Logan shouted.

He sounded hurt but angry still. Logan slammed Kieran back into the wall.

Logan knows Kieran can take him on. The fact that he really isn’t fighting back, means that Kieran has an angle.

Logan was trying to realise his angle. It isn’t until he heard Bella drop her books that he put two and two together. Kieran is putting on an act. Playing the abused brother.

Logan felt Bella’s hands touch his shoulders as she pulled him back gently.

“Logan, let him go please. If you want to hurt someone, hurt me.” Bella said.

Logan kept his gaze on Kieran. he was angry. He was on the verge of crying. He couldn’t explain why he felt this way. But Kieran never saw him this way before. Not even when his grandfather died.

Logan had never cried then. How did she break through his walls unintentionally? And in such a short time?

Kieran was about to apologise but Bella squeezed between then and looked into Logan’s eyes.

Bella's hands on his chest. Standing this close to him, he looked at her. The scent she had, it got his attention.

“Logan, please let your brother go. Don’t hurt anyone but me. That’s the rules in the school remember. Hurt me if you are angry.” Bella said softly.

Bella moved her hands to his. Logan's grip softened on his brothers as Bella pulled them to her shoulders.

Bella squeezed his arms on her shirt, making him almost hold her in the pose.

“Don’t Bella, I can’t hurt you.” Logan said.

He sighed, slowly letting his arms slide away from her shoulders.

“I want to talk to you alone.” Logan said.

Bella nodded.

“Kieran, can you please leave us alone?” Bella asked.

“I don’t trust him alone with you.” Kieran said.

“Ditto.” Logan said.

Logan spoke aggressively to Kieran.
