Chapter Eight Ending

“Bella, he is telling me to stop hanging out with you because he thinks you won’t be my friend. After he decided to threaten me.” Logan said.

Bella looked at Drew. She showed an annoyed expression.

“Drew, you know you have no say in who I am friends with.” Bella said.

“He doesn’t seem like a good person.” Drew said.

“Never judge a book by the cover.” Bella said.

Drew sighed.

“I’m just trying to protect you, it’s getting closer to your 18th and after the last threat recently, I’m extra cautious. You can’t blame me.” Drew said.

“What threat?” Logan asked.

“Yes Bella, what threat? Tell him, if he is your friend.” Drew said.

Drew gave a smirk. He knew Bella wasn’t comfortable talking about it to strangers.

“No, I am already accepting their help by living with them. I won’t burden them with more.” Bella said.

Drew’s face dropped.

“You’ll live with him, but not with me?” Drew asked.

“Drew, you know why I can’t live with you.” Bella said.

“But you are living with him, he clearly also has feelings for you.” Drew said.

“Yeah, so does my twin brother.” Logan said.

Bella shot a warning look at Logan.

“Bella, you will live with two horny teens but not one responsible adult?” Drew asked.

“It isn’t like that. And it’s only temporary. And besides, I am mainly there because his little sister is so cute. She’s sweet and adorable, reminds me of myself before everything that happened.” Bella said.

Drew leaned his forehead to Bella’s.

“Promise me, tell me that nothing is going on with them.” Drew said.

“Nothing is going on with anyone. I meant it when I said I want to focus on work and school. That’s been my rule for years. It’s still my rules. Logan stopped Mike from going further at school yesterday, Mike dragged me into a classroom. And Logan followed and beat him up before taking me out quickly. If anything you should be thankful instead of starting sh*t. I made a vow to my mother. What I vowed, was to finish school before I ever considered a relationship. And that’s what I am doing. You know I never break a promise. So don’t do this to yourself or to me.” Bella said.

Drew took a step back. Logan and Matt watched in shock.

“I’m sorry, just keep in contact so I know you are okay. The deadline is closing in. I can’t lose the star that fell into my life.” Drew said.

Bella wiped his tear.

“Don’t be a sook. I’ll be okay. I’ll see you again soon. Besides, we are performing against each other this weekend remember.” Bella said.

Drew laughed.

“They don’t believe I’m in a band.” Drew said.

“Tell them not to record my performance. I am being forced to wear an outfit I don’t want to wear. The male band members chose mine and Sam’s outfit.” Bella said.

Drew hugged Bella, then let go.

“Come visit me soon.” Drew said.

Bella nodded. She walked away to leave. Logan followed behind her. Matt looked at Logan confused. He heard his father in his earphone.

“I think she’s spoken for without realising it. You saw that right?” Matt asked.

“Yeah, and?” Logan asked.

“Looks like Drew and Bella might be a couple in the future.” Matt said.

“No. You heard Milly. She won’t accept it.” Logan said with a laugh.

“Logan, don’t be stupid. If Bella doesn’t want to be with you, or Kieran. Then leave her be.” Matt said.

Logan laughed then looked at his dad with a slightly crazy look.

“Dad, when have I ever changed my world for a girl? Bella is just a girl, I won’t let my world change for her. And besides, she won’t get to say no. I will find a way to have her.” Logan said.

Logan hung up the phone and this concerned Matt.

Logan called Bella.

“Hey Logan, sorry if Drew upset you.” Bella said.

Bella was in her car now and starting it.

“I have a question for you.” Logan asked.

“Okay, what is it?” Bella asked.

“Want to get lunch then eat it at school before we go to class?” Logan asked.

“Sure. I am starving.” Bella said.

Logan laughed.

“Pick where you want to eat, I’ll follow you.” Logan said.

“You are going to regret that.” Bella said.

Bella hung up and started driving out of the car park. Logan followed her while Bella made a phone call to the school.

“It’s Bella Inkwell, I have a question for the principal.” Bella said.

The admin transferred her to the principal.

“Bella, you are aware that leaving early is frowned upon?” The principal asked.

“Yes, but I have good reason. I received a phone call threatening me. Listen, I have enough credits to graduate already. Can I graduate now?” Bella asked.

“Let me look into it.” The principal said.

Bella was on hold while the principal was looking through the computer.

“You can graduate now, but would you like to finish the week?” The principal asked.

“No. I’ll say goodbye to the teachers today and return my library books in the next few days when I empty the locker. I will finish today though.” Bella said.

“Thank you, and I am sorry you are leaving early.” The principal said.

“I received a threat from a man about people hanging out with me in the school. I am worried that if people approach me in the school, something may happen. I don’t know how to even approach this subject with the police so I haven’t gone to them.” Bella said.

“Will you at least attend the talent show this Saturday?” The principal asked.

“I have a performance in another place in a horrible outfit my bandmates chose. If you promise to not discriminate against me for wearing a miniskirt. Then I’d happily be there. Just make me last so I can make it there.” Bella said.

“Very well. See you then.” The principal said.

Bella hung up. She was pulling into OBJs sports bar and she smiled at Logan as he pulled in.

“Do you trust me?” Bella asked.

“Yeah.” Logan said.

“Stay here while I order.” Bella said.

Logan nodded. Bella went inside and ordered two triple cheeseburgers to go with their own servings off chips, drinks and their own Nutella milkshakes. They drank the milkshakes while they waited for the food. Bella also ordered the spicy wings and the spicy chips for them to share.

The food was done and they stopped playing the arcade games. Bella went to her car and drove to the school with Logan in his car behind her. They ran into the cafeteria. Bella laid the boxes on the table and opened them.
