Chapter Nine - Pinned

Logan opened his mouth shocked as he saw the big spread. They started eating as the bell rang. Mitchell and his friends came to join them at the table. Kieran eventually saw them and sat down.

“Whoa! Where is mine?” Mitchell asked.

“Have normal chips of mine, I want the spicy chips.” Bella said.

They ate some chips and they loved it.

“So, want to talk about him?” Logan asked.

“No.” Bella said.

Everyone was watching them.

“What did the other trainer mean by you were kidnapped twice?” Logan asked.

“Forget about it.” Bella said.

Everyone at the table looked shocked.

“What about him calling you his star?” Logan asked.

“Because I fell off a cliff, into water, floated down stream, over a water fall and landed in front of him near his camping site nearly 8 years ago. He says I fell like a falling star. That’s why his nickname for me is star.” Bella said.

“Do you have a boyfriend?” Kieran asked.

“No.” Bella and Logan said.

“Ooh. Logan, why are you sounding grumpy at Kieran for asking?” Vince asked.

“I’m annoyed that Kieran knows Bella doesn’t, but still he keeps asking.” Logan said.

“Kieran did know I am single. I have stated I am not interested in relationships.” Bella said.

“So, when is the performance?” Mitchell asked.

“Oh, funny thing. I rang the principal. And she is letting me graduate early. The threat I received during class before, was about people hanging out with me. So I am leaving the school. And she asked me to perform on Saturday as well. So I am last performance on Saturday at the school while third at the club.” Bella said.

They looked shocked.

“You’re leaving?” Logan asked.

“I have to. I’ll be saying goodbye to the teachers today. But next week I’ll return the library books. Maybe I’ll return them on Saturday when I come to perform.” Bella said.

“It’s going to be so boring without you, we love how you piss off Stacey.” Mitchell said.

“That’s because she’s my step sister.” Bella said.

“She’s your what now?” Vince asked.

“Now I’m leaving, I don’t care who knows.” Bella said.

“Is what Drew said, the reason why? Because the deadline is getting close?” Logan asked.

Bella was quiet.

“What deadline?” Kieran asked.

Logan shrugged.

“Can you guys keep a secret for once? I honestly have been dying to tell someone other than Drew.” Bella said.

They nodded and leaned closer.

“My father, is trying to sell me. He wants to sell me as a slave and sell my virginity to someone else first. The deadline is that he has until my 18th birthday to sell me for my virginity. That’s why it’s getting too risky. And the more people near me, the more they can use as bait to draw me out. I need to hide. So, I am tempted to ask Drew to take me to the campsite. But that means he will be out of work for a couple days to take me there. Which means that he will be watched like a hawk again. And I won’t be safe. It’s near winter. And with the wild dogs and the fact someone brought bears over here illegally and released them. We aren’t meant to have them here. So, there is more here that can kill me.” Bella said.

“Stacey’s step dad?” Vince asked.

“Yes, my father. They have been trying to take me for a while but I have been sleeping under my bed every night or inside the couch. I have been hiding in plain sight. The thing is, I don’t recognise the voice that spoke before. But he sounded really angry. And I am afraid that something bad is coming.” Bella said.

“Bella, what scares you the most?” Kieran asked.

“The not knowing, I can’t protect them if I don’t know what’s going to happen to them.” Bella said.

“Protect who?” Vince asked.

“The other students.” Mitchell said.

Bella nodded. She looked at everyone. They were all looking around and when they saw her, they looked away.

“Why does it feel like the room has changed?” Bella asked.

“What do you mean?” Vince asked.

“Look. No one looks at me during lunch. During lunch I am given peace until after eating then the bullying begins. And every time I look up, there is nearly every eye on me.” Bella said.

Everyone looked.

“Maybe it’s because we are here?” Mitchell asked.

Bella looked at her palm. She traced her scar on her palm.

“You can finish my lunch.” Bella said.

Everyone watched her leave. Logan gestured everyone at the table to look. All the students gaze was on Bella. They watched her curiously.

“Bella is right, I sense something is different.” Logan said.

“I think Mike might have said or done something. If he did, we shouldn’t leave her alone.” Mitchell said.

Logan was quick to get up.

“I’ll catch up, I’m going to finish her burger.” Mitchell said.

Logan laughed as he gave his one to Vince. He followed Bella with Kieran.

Bella was standing at her locker. Stacey was walking to her, she grabbed Bella by the head and pushed her face into the locker. Smacking the shelf in the locker.

“Leave the twins alone!” Stacey shouted.

Stella let go then swung to hit Bella.

Bella ducked when Stacey went to punch the back of her head. Bella slammed the locker on Stacey’s hand.

“Oh, was your hand there?” Bella fake cared.

Stacey cried as she charged at Bella. The boys ran over and stood between them.

“Stacey, leave Bella alone.” Kieran said.

“She’s not worth worrying about Kieran. Can’t you understand that?” Stacey asked.

“He understands that you spread your legs like a chicken waiting to get stuffed before being shoved in an oven.” Bella said.

Stacey ran at Bella, Logan was trying to not laugh. His smile was visible to Bella as he picked Bella up and pinned her against the lockers.

“Kieran! She isn’t worth it!” Stacey exclaimed.

“She’s worth as much trouble as she gives. I’d search heaven and hell to find Bella.” Logan said.

Logan made eye contact with Bella. Kieran and Stacey noticed. Bella gulped nervously as Logan and Bella kept staring at each other.

“And not to forget, she is also amazing to cuddle with.” Logan said.

Bella was starting to blush.

“Kieran! How can you like her? She even slept with your brother!” Stacey cried.

“And it was so amazing, I could do that for the next 80 years of my life.” Logan said.

Not breaking eye contact.

“I know what you are doing, stop it.” Bella whispered.

Logan smiled as he leaned closer.

“Cotton candy.” Logan whispered.

Bella turned red again.

Bella was still pinned against the lockers and lifted off the floor by Logan. Her body was lifted by his leg.

“Logan, don’t do anything stupid.” Kieran said.

“Listen to Kieran.” Bella said.

Logan moved his hands to Bella’s thighs and lifted her legs around him. Her legs were moved to wrap around him. He pushed his weight to pin her against the locker. He grabbed her hands to stop her, in case she tried to push him away.

“LOGAN!” Kieran screamed.

“KIERAN!” Stacey screamed.

“BELLA!” Logan screamed.

“Everyone just stop!” Bella shouted.

Vince and Mitchell were at the end of the corridor and burst out laughing.

“Do you need a condom?” Vince asked.

“I’d rather trap Bella with a baby.” Logan said.

They all gave him a look. Bella looked at Logan in shock, her heart was racing and Logan felt it in her hands.

Logan noticed Bella's chest rise and fall quickly.

“What did you just say?” Kieran asked.

“This is really embarrassing, can you please let me down?” Bella asked.

“Not until Stacey is away from you.” Logan said.

“Bella, you look a little red.” Mitchell said.

“Because this is embarrassing.” Bella said.

Vince smirked as he looked at Bella.

“Are you sure it has nothing to do with Logan saying he wants to have a family with you?” Vince asked.

Bella gave Vince a serious look.

“Vince, not the time.” Mitchell said.

“Stacey, you should get out of here.” Vince said.

“No! Kieran needs to leave Bella alone!” Stacey shouted.

“Can I tell her?” Logan asked.

Bella shook her head. Kieran didn’t see it, instead he leaned closer to Stacey.

“Stacey, shut the f*ck up and leave. You were just a quick f*ck. At least with Bella, she has dignity and pride. Bella is much more of a respectful woman than you. And with Bella, she earns respect without trying. She looks after everyone. Why do you think Milly loves her, why our family loves her. That’s why we hate you. And furthermore, Bella will be a guest in our house because as you can see, we all are protective of Bella. We know you are her step sister. And we know how horrible you have been. So, if Logan sleeps with her, if I sleep with her, hell even if the help does. It still makes her better than you.” Kieran said aggressively.

Everyone looked at Kieran in shock.

“You shouldn’t have said that.” Logan said.

Logan turned his head to look at Kieran. Stacey was looking at Kieran while trying to not cry.

“LEAVE!” Kieran screamed.

“Apologise to Stacey for lying.” Logan urged.

Kieran looked at Logan and saw Bella looking pale and scared. He sighed and looked at Stacey.

“I’m sorry, I was out of line Stacey. I am protective of Bella, and the reason why is because of how she makes Milly feel safe. So, I need you to leave her alone. Milly means a lot to me, and if I mean anything to you. Then you will leave Bella alone.” Kieran said.

Stacey looked at Bella and then at Kieran.

“I promise, I am the one interested in Bella. Not Kieran. He is just with me. I am the one interested in her.” Logan said.

Stacey wiped her eyes and looked at Kieran.

“Do you like her?” Stacey asked.

“Not like that.” Kieran said.

“Kieran, take it elsewhere. The bell is going off soon and I don’t want to get caught pinned against the locker.” Bella said.

Kieran sighed and grabbed Stacey by the arm to lead her away. Logan watched them walk away before grabbing Bella’s face and turning it slightly.

“You might have a bruise later.” Logan said softly.

“I’m okay with that. Please, let me down.” Bella said.

Logan nodded and grabbed Bella’s hips. He lowered her down slowly and smiled as he still leaned close against her. A few more students walked around the corner and Logan leaned to Bella’s side.

“You should get it checked out by a doctor.” Logan said.

Bella shook her head. Vince and Mitchell watched her closely.

“I’ll be fine. If it’s bad, then Drew can check it out.” Bella said.

Logan’s face dropped when Bella said that. Bella opened her locker again and grabbed her book.

“I will see you back at yours later, unless we are in the next class.” Bella said.

Bella walked away quickly. Logan was watching her as Vince and Mitchell got closer to him.

“Logan, how serious are you about her?” Mitchell asked.

“Drop it.” Logan said.

Logan walked across the corridor to his locker and grabbed his book. He then looked at the boys.

“Come to dinner, Bella will be there.” Logan said.

“Text the address.” Mitchell said.

Logan nodded and walked away.
