Chapter 16

“Alpha do you know how long she has been like this?” the doctor asked me 

“Two hours ago the pain in my head started so I would say sometime around then the head injury occurred as for her being unconscious asleep whatever she is right now about an hour?” i stutter. The pain in my heart right now is like nothing I have ever experienced before. It feels like it is breaking not being able to help her more. I go to take her hand. 

“Alpha you have to leave” the doctor says.

“Im not leaving her” I say bluntly.

“I will not ask you again. If you want your mate back I need to work now go” the doctor orders. I go to argue but the look on her face says otherwise I walk out of the room and slump to the floor. I sit there not moving just waiting on news.

The longer I wait the more angry and frustrated I get. Before my mind can catch up I am out of the hospital and running towards the town my wolf taking control. 

I stop at Sophies office storming through the building. A security guard tries to stop me from going any further. I know he was only trying to do his job but he seriously was in the wrong place. I grabbed him by the throat and pinned him to the wall. "My mate was hurt here, and hurt badly I suggest you get out of my way"i growl. I find my way  to her office following her sweets  scent. As I approach her office my nose is assaulted by the smell of her blood. I cant control my rage and put my fist through the wall. This bastard will pay. I search her office for any sign of who did this to her. Thats when I smell it and it turns my stomach. A daylighter did this. It was a daylighter that caused pain and suffering to my mate. The pathetic child of the sun did this. I will kill who ever it was. I lock on to the new scent to hunt down my prey. I stalk from her office when I hear  the pack doctor say “you can go see her” 

I never hung around to here anymore. I raced back to the pack hospital.

I walked into the room as she lays there motionless hooked up to so many machines. 

“Samuel contact the Moon Goddess and the god of Darkness they will want to know we have found there daughter,” 

“Yes Alpha, Is there anything else you need?” 

“ drop the alpha crap and no , nothing unless you have a magical cure to bring her back to me this second?” I question trying to make a joke.

“Hey Jason, if I did, don't you think I would have done it already after all our luna is one heck of a gal” Samuel says through our link.

“That she is Sammy, that she is, let me know what her parents say and I want all my work load brought here. I am not leaving her side.”

“Sure thing, her parents will be here in 6 days”

“Thanks Sammy, Make sure the pack is ready to receive them”

"Josh, Chris, get back to her office and hunt down the daylighter that was in her office and did this to her" 

"Yes Alpha they say in unison" I closed the link after that.

 I don't think I can handle anything else right now. I walk up to the bed and sit on the bed next to her taking her hands in mine. I just talk about everything and all the reasons she has to come back to me and about the future I see for us. I move myself so I am laying next to her and pull her into my side. I feel her move and her body relaxes as our bodies connect. I feel mine relax as well I lay with her not wanting to move. I relax and soon I feel myself drifting to sleep.
