Chapter 14

Sophies POV

It has been 3 days since I asked Jason to mark me and it has been a dream few days. But I have to go back to reality and work. Jason keeps asking me to leave my job but as I keep telling him I need to work. After all, my apartment rent doesn't pay for itself. 

Its 8am as I pull into a very quiet car park, I decided to get in early to check through any new refusals i have had for consultations or sessions booked in to discuss various issues the people of the building may have. (As long as it isn't there office live life drama that drives me insane)  

As I walk into my office a feeling of anxiety washes over me and a shiver runs down my spine. Its almost as if my body is telling me to leave however my mind is telling me that I have to stay. I sit down and start to sort through all the papers that have been placed on my desk during my time off. The day seems to fly buy with people in about out all day.  As I look up, I see the sky changing from blue to  mass of pinks and purples. Its that time between day and night I cant help the smile that spreads across my face. I walk over to the window and just admire the view. 

"Good to see you back" an unwanted voice calls from the doorway. I hurry back over to my desk and grab my things ready to leave. 

" yes good to be back. Sorry I have to go" I say as I try to leave. Mr Day grips my arm harder than necessary. "Your hurting me please let go" i glare at him. 

"Im terribly sorry but I need to talk to you  before you leave" he gestures towards the seats in my office. I sit in the single arm chair opposite the sofa he sprawls across. 

"Sophs  now this is a serious chat" I cringe at how he says my name. 

"What can I help you with Mr Day" 

"Its not so much what you can do for me it's more what I can do for you" he says trying to peak my interest but I wont bite. " I know the truth about your parents and what happened I can give you all the answers" with that he does have me on the edge of my seat

"How do you know about my parents?" 

" I know everything there is to know about you. I didn't just hire you for any reason. If you want the answers you cut all ties to those beasts and the answers are yours" a feeling of disgust churns in my stomach. 

"I guess I will go without knowing the truth then I stand up to walk out but I'm pulled back by my hair and thrown into the wall. 

"You don't get to walk away from me, you will be mine one way or another" he snarls. 

I kick out to be released from his grasp but he blocks everything I try. 

"Im not interested Mr Day" panic starts to set in.

"We could be great together the children of the most powerful parents"

" I don't know what you are talking about. Let me go '' I say trying to fight my way out from his grasp, but he has me pinned against the wall under all of his weight. I try to reach into my pocket for my phone. He must sense what I'm trying to do and grabs it from my pocket and launches it across the room as his weight shifts. I get out from his grip and punch him in the face, blood pours from his nose. 

"Fine if that's the way it will be I'm all game" he launches at me again and this time I know I'm in for it. I fight with all I have but he is stronger and faster than me. I'm slammed into the wall, his full body pressed against mine. The back of my head feels wet and drips fall down my neck. I feel dizzy and weak. "Sophs this could have been so easy the son and daughter of the gods. But you are obsessed with those mutts. Can't you feel what you do to me" he refers to his hardness pressing against me. 

"No please dont" 

"No use begging pet" with that I'm thrown to the sofa I see red on the wall where I just stood and know I'm bleeding. I roll off the sofa and try to crawl to the door. I feel so weak. I'm terrified of what is about to happen. I need Jason. I call out for him. But I know he won't come, how could he. We don't have that kind of bond yet. I make it to the doorway as I'm yanked back by the ankle and thrown back onto the sofa. 

"If you fight this will hurt a lot more I squirm" trying to stop him from doing what he is about to but I have no chance with him. Before I know it blackness takes hold of me. 

When I come around my head is pounding my body aches, tears stream from my eyes. I look around to find myself alone, my office upside down. My body is in excruciating pain. I stumble and grab my things and race to my car. I drive and drive no idea where I am going. I just have to get away from here. 

After driving for some time I find myself back at my parents old house. I head inside and run to my old room. I curl up on my old bed and cry until the darkness sucks me back in.
