The Unknown

Chapter 13

He places me on the side in the bathroom and draws me a bath with Epsom salts. He doesn't say much as he does but his eyes are glazed over probably trying to work out what went on. 

I swing my legs on the side as they are the only part of me that don't hurt.

"She is being dealt with Moonflower, she gets very jealous of anyone with Samuel she thinks Samuel will be her mate but i doubt it very much"

"How come Samuel doesn't have a mate?" I ask as curiosity takes over. 

"Well he did, he was one of the lucky ones that found his mate when he was 18 but right after their wedding when he was 20 she was killed but a daylighter. Since then he has helped find and deal with them." 

" what is a daylighter?"

" ow it is someone who worships the sun goddess and aims to undo all of the moon goddess' creations. The sun and moon goddess don't  exactly get on" 

He leaves the bathroom so I can change and climb into the tub. As I lower into the warm water it stings a little and small whimper leaves my lips. 

"Are you okay moonflower" Jason says from the doorway with his hands half over his eyes. I can feel his gaze through his hand on my back as it heats my skin and soothes the pain I feel. 

"You don't have to cover your eyes" i let out a small giggle at the ridiculous sight if him stood there.   He lowers his hands and walks further into the bathroom and pulls up a small stool from under the vanity unit. He avoids looking directly at me unless its the top of my head. I can see it is killing him not to look and i appreciate it. Although i really want to feel his gaze on me. He smiles almost as if he knows what I'm thinking. 

JASON POV 

I let her change and climb into the water on her own. I don't want to make her uncomfortable 

"Samuel, what happened" i link to him 

"We were training she pinned me. I would be careful not to piss her off if I was you she's one heck of a fighter. I bet with a bit more training and a wolf behind her she could beat your ass no problem" 

"Samuel, why did Lyra attack Sophie? I know she hates you talking to other people but seriously this is extreme for her."

"I heard her say something about Sophie trying to f**k me but you know that is bull. You can check the training ground footage." 

"Samuel I will ask you once did you want or try to f**k my mate" 

"Hell no I learnt my lesson last time when I was saving her from her weirdo boss" 

"Glad to hear it"

I hear a whimper and dash to the door. I gasp at the sight of her lowering into the tub i place my hand over my eyes leaving just enough room to get a little glips. I can see her body react to my gaze. 

"Are you okay moonflower" I ask

" you don't have to cover your eyes" and she lets out a small adorable giggle I fight my wolf back as best I can. I walk into the bathroom and grab the stool to sit on. It is killing me not to look at her but I dont want her to feel uncomfortable and I get a feeling she appreciates it yet also that I would look at her. It take so much control 

"May I?" I ask picking up a sponge from the side of the bath. She nods and I move closer kneeling down at the side of the bath and slowly begin to gently rub over her skin and take away some of the pain she is in. She stiffens at first and then relaxes. I feel a pull to her and it just keeps getting stronger. I know I need to claim her soon. I run my hand up to her face and rub over her popped lip. I place a small kiss on them to help soothe it. I hear her sigh into it and I know she can feel the pain leaving her body. Even if it is only for a short while. 

"Jason, can I ask you something? " she says looking up at me through her lashes. 

" Anything Moonflower" i nod. 

"I know it seems like ages away but after the next full moon will you mark me" 

I just stare at her trying to find the words. 

"Its only 10 days and 17 hours" she adds. I can't contain my happiness at what she has just said and i lean down picking her up Completely forgetting she is soaking wet and naked. She lets out a little squeal at the shock and a little whimper followed by laughter. I have no idea what to do so kiss her. I finally place her down and leave the room reining in my wolf. She is mine!
