Hell’s Castle; Sin’s Room 11:00 AM
Sin was sitting on her bed, wrapped up in her red velvet blanket, covering her face with her arms, she was silently sobbing. The sun was the only thing illuminating Sin’s room through the window. She had made up her mind to go with this strange man so, why did she feel like she sent herself to death row? She had butler pack all the things she needed in two simple duffle bags that lay at the bottom of her bedside, she shooed him away after. The tick, tock or her clock filled the emptiness of her room, suffocating her more. She was alone in her room like her usual self but, it was somehow an entirely different feeling to her. The feeling was lonely, pitiful, and sad. She was watching the clock waiting for that man or, one of his servants to retrieve her to his domain. She left Helios with a fake smile and waved at everyone a finale goodbye. Remembering their smiling faces just made Sin feel worse; sick and grief filled her chest. The slow pounding of her heart rang silently through her ears, clear blue tears streaked her face.
It was agony just waiting every second, every minute just for someone to retrieve her to their master. Sin couldn’t wait any longer, then; a knock lightly entered her room.
“We meet again,” a familiar voice came through her room.
Sin bolted in a sitting position. Startled she looked around before she looked straight and, saw Sareen standing in the door way, same exact position like when Sin was dreaming. Sin’s breath started to go faster and deeper. She wanted to cry a scream of help but, she knew what was happening, she slowly nodded, jumped off the bed, grabbed the two bags and, stood in front of Sareen. Sin gave Sareen a fake smile and a weak answer, “I’m ready,” was all that she said.
“So, you’re really this sure that you want to do this? There is no turning back once you do kid,” Sareen looked down at Sin. An expression of amusement rested upon her face making Sin’s face flush a deep red.
“I know what is best for everyone. I must do this to prevent the man you call King from destroying everything. If he destroyed everything, he would destroy my existence as well,” Sin said, the fake smile stuck to her face, the words hurt in her throat but, she said them anyways. Her eyes half closed. She only nodded her own approval even though she knew she was forcing herself to do this.
“You both really are so reckless you fit each other perfectly,” Sareen laughed.
“Nobody told me your master’s name. I’d like to know the name of the man I’m becoming queen to. If you don’t mind telling me that is,” Sin sulked.
“Oh Yes, nobody ever told you his name did we? How silly. I do suppose you have the right to know,” Sareen laughed.
“Quit stalling, you’re making me angry,” Sin hissed.
“Sorry, sorry,” Sareen giggled.
Sin’s cheeks were getting a dark red with anger boiling up inside her.
“You look quite angry but, fine his name is Lucifer,” Sareen looked down at Sin, her smiling expression turned plain.
“Lucifer?” Sin’s eyes widened, “That name came from the human world didn’t it?” Sin asked.
“Indeed, master took that name after learning about some human culture,” Sareen answered.
“So he’s human?” Sin glared down at the floor.
“No he’s not human. He only studied them for a year or two just to please his queen,” Sareen snickered.
“Studied them for me? What would I ever want to know about foolish humans? So fleeting it sickens me,” Sin huffed.
“Fleeting, dying, easily broken things they are aren’t they Sin?” Sareen asked as she walked through Sin’s room looking at the picture on the wall, “Are these your siblings?” she added.
“Oh, yes they are,” Sin answered. She was shaken up by what Sareen said; fleeting, dying, easily broken, all the things Sin thought humans were herself. Now she shared the same idea with the man who will become betrothed to.
“Your absolutely one hundred percent sure you’re okay to become his queen and leave everything else behind?” Sareen asked again, she was facing the picture on the wall but, her eyes were raking up and down Sin’s body with amusement.
“I said it once. This is the last time I will be saying it. I am ready,” Sin said confidently.
“I see. You both rush too fast when you make decisions. Well then, we will be on our way?” Sareen smiled as she snapped her fingers both Sareen and Sin disappeared within an instant.
Helios Base 11:30 AM
Raven was in her lavatory mixing and matching chemicals together, Noel sat next to her and watched peacefully.
“So you knew about who Sin was talking about?” Raven asked breaking the silence between them.
“You could say that I know him from the human world yeah,” Noel replied flicking a pencil back and forth across a table.
“The human world? Oh, that’s right. You were a human once weren’t you?” Raven asked pouring a pinkish liquid chemical into a large beaker.
“I became a fallen angel when I was eighteen. It’s a story for another time but, yes I met him when I was human,” Noel said. He always looked depressed even now.
“I’m interested in that girl you mentioned. She seemed like she was close to you somehow,” Raven said amused, carefully pouring the rest of the chemical liquid into the beaker and, gently setting the test tube back on its stand.
“She was close to me. The only one who cared about me when I was human,” a faint smile crossed Noel’s lips.
“This is interesting. Do tell Noel,” Raven said as she reached for the next test tube, it had a green liquid in it that bubbled and sizzled.
“Well back when I was human not allot of people cared about me. My father hated me, society shunned me, school bullied me, and I just ran away one day to escape it all,” Noel said placing his head on his arms.
“Tsk, tsk, how sad that must have been,” Raven exaggerated while she mixed the two liquids together.
Noel sulked after hearing that rude remark.
“I was just playing with you. Take a joke Noel but, do continue on with your story,” Raven snickered as she wrote the results of her experiment down in her journal.
“I started living on the streets. Soon after I would get hungry and, it would hurt me, torture me even. I started to sneak into stores and steal food. Shortly after each time I would have cops chasing me into a different neighborhood and I would have to start all over again. Chased away from three places I was getting rather tired of running. That’s when I met her,” Noel sighed.
“Her? The woman that was killed by that…whoever he calls himself,” Raven kept snapping her fingers, and closed her eyes trying to think of the nickname.
“King,” Noel answered.
“Yes that’s right, him. Continue?” Raven said delighted finishing the results resumed mixing more chemicals.
“I went into her store, and as soon as I walked in she looked at me in surprise. She ran towards me, grabbed my hand, and made me follow her. I followed her into a small room upstairs. It was a cute little room, girly things like; stuffed animals, tea cups, and pink walls. She made me sit on a small sofa. Grabbing a chair she sat in front of me and just stared at me,” Noel laughed.
“Wow so much happened in so little time. I’m impressed Noel,” Raven gawked and poured a blue chemical in the batch she just mixed.
“She told me she heard about all the crazy stuff I did when she would watch the news, said she never watched anyone so crazy before,” Noel choked up a small laugh.
“Crazy does what crazy does,” Raven said confidently.
“She invited me to stay as long as I stopped stealing, she gave me a job, food, money, clothes, a roof over my head. Everything was perfect,” Noel smiled.
“Life was perfect until what?” Raven looked at Noel.
“After a few months of living with her I fell for her. I told her I loved her and what my father had forced me to become,” Noel sighed.
“I’m guessing she didn’t take your “fallen angel” to well?” Raven assumed.
“Yeah, she screamed, threw things at me, cursed me, told me to stay away from her, and begged me not to kill her. Every step I took she screamed louder and threw more things at me. I felt ashamed and ran away,” Noel said in a low voice. Sadness of remembering overtook his heart once more, tears gushed out.
“You’re eighteen. Suck up the tears you big baby. She’s human. It’s only natural for a human to get frightened over something inhuman,” Raven explained.
“Inhuman?” Noel asked touching his chest. The beating of his heart was slow and ragged, “I see,” he sighed.
“So what happened after?” Raven asked mixing more chemicals together.
“I went back to living on the streets. After about three weeks this man in a black robe would walk by daily throwing food to me and saying “It’s all in the name of research.” Months and months passed. I never saw her once after that day until that man came by with a woman next to him, one last time and threw an odd crystal at me. So, I followed them. The girl’s hair seemed familiar to me. I followed them into an abandoned building,” Noel hesitated.
“That’s when you saw who the woman really was?” Raven asked. She stopped playing with her chemicals. Her eyes steadied on Noel.
“That’s right. I heard them talking. My hearing is sensitive now. It became more sensitive when I awoke as a fallen. He was talking about how she completed his human research for Sin and no longer needed her. He asked her if she felt something for me. She told him, “I will never like a disgusting creature like that. It’s so disgusting it makes me want to vomit.” With that the man smiled, and dove his fist into her chest ripping her heart out. She turned her head before she died and looked at me with the same disgusted eyes like the night I told her my feelings and what I was,” Noel said.
Raven could sense him suffering inside, “Humans can be cruel can’t they?” Raven said.
The door to the lab opened and someone walked in. It was Experiment Six. She didn’t look all too happy, Cloe was following her.
“What the hell!” Experiment Six roared.
Noel whimpered. He hid his head in his arms, and sat in the corner.
“What are you depressed about angel brat?” Experiment Six threw a full can of soda at Noel with anger.
“Be nice, play nice!” Cloe giggled.
“Worthless Cat! Why do you keep following me damn cat!” Experiment Six hollered.
“Eek!” Cloe hissed.
Experiment Six roared making Cloe flee to the other side of the room where Noel sat.
“You’re so loud I can’t concentrate on this new serum I’m trying to make. Go be moody somewhere else you dumb failure,” Raven scowled.
“What did you say little girl? You can’t boss me around you little s**t!” Experiment Six hollered. She was always moody about something. She was the failed experiment of Jaden when she tried to clone herself. Experiment Six was just as moody and violent as Jaden used to be. Quick with her emotions she can destroy anything in less than a second.
“Cloe is scared of Experiment Six when she’s on her mood swings. Cloe wants to climb a tree and hide,” Cloe cried.
“What’s stopping you stupid cat? Want me to grab your tail and rip it off damn cat?” Experiment Six scowled.
Cloe’s tail puffed out, “Meanie, meanie, chicken weenie!” she chanted.
Experiment Six glared at her instantly shutting Cloe up, she turned her gaze to Raven who was calmly writing down her research, “Tell me why do I have to go infiltrate Rurah?” she demanded.
“Because, our leader says so, that’s why. Good enough for you?” Raven looked up at her.
“No it’s not. It’s so damn aggravating I’m going to puke damn flowers and rainbows,” Experiment Six exaggerated.
Raven took a bottle from the shelves, and forced Experiment Six to drink it. Experiment Six got rather quite…and then all together silent, “See? You’re much better when you’re calm. You always make people unsettled it’s quite disturbing actually,” Raven shrugged.
Experiment Six stormed out of the room. Cloe trotting after her.
“W-what the?” Noel stuttered out. He was pale.
“What a pain that woman really is,’ Raven sighed, “All she ever does is get angry and destroy everything. If only Jaden made her less violent and more silent. We wouldn’t be having so many issues with her,” Raven moaned.
“S-she is one scary woman,” Noel stuttered.
“Do you think?” Raven silenced.
“Do I think what?” Noel asked, looking up. He knew what she was thinking. He could feel it in his slow but surely beating fallen heart, “Are you asking if Sin made in contact with that man and went with him?” he asked looking up at Raven. His eye’s gleamed at her with sadness and despair.
“Did she?” Raven asked, turning away from Noel’s gaze. Her face was red, it burned her.
“I don’t know. I’m a fallen angel not a know it all,” Noel closed his eyes and stood up. He walked out of the room slamming the door behind him. Leaning against the door on the other side he opened his eyes and looked at the sealing. He took a deep breath and sighed, “Stupid girl. You never think before you do things just like she did,” he laughed to himself. He slowly sank his body to the floor in a sitting position. He dug his face on his hands and knees, and began sobbing.
Raven fell to her knees, tears were pouring out of her eyes. Each tear burned her face, her skin became redder, and burned her. She cried like a little child who couldn’t get their favorite toy. She is seven; what was she supposed to do other than cry after being hurt?
