Charging forward, Valeth jumped with a high kick. Anna dropped to her knees, bending backwards as the other woman sailed past. Over the edge and into the plaza. “Buh-bye.” As she fell, Valeth Bent gravity to slow herself down. She hit the sidewalk and then took off across the square, heading for Jack and Slade. Rolling her eyes, Anna sighed. “Seriously?” Peeling himself off the wall, Slade turned his back on the museum. He faced Jack with a snarl, blood dripping from his nose, staining his mouth red. “That,” he said, stepping forward, “was not wise.” Jack backed up until he felt the fountain’s spray behind him, a grin coming on as he shook his head.
