“Fascinating. Can we fight now?” Slade raised his pistol. Jack ran to his right, bullets whistling through the spot where he had been standing. He kept the fountain between himself and the other man for as long as possible, rounding its circular base on the east side. With a few quick taps, he powered up the force-field generator on his belt. The instant his opponent came into view, Jack hit that last button and summoned a crackling wall of white static. He sent it flying over the cobblestones with blinding speed. But it was no surprise when his evil twin casually leaped over it. Slade dropped to the ground with a grunt.
