A lingering thought about her.

970 Words
After returning home, Dean couldn't stop his hand from clicking away on the fountain pen whilst staring at the blank notebook that he'd be looking at for the last hour. He finds himself chuckling at the memory of Aria mimicking him and nearly spilling the wine. Why did she do that... He chuckles to himself as he shakes his head. "Date went well I suppose?" Dean immediately stops smiling the second he heard Caspian's voice. He slowly looks up and meets his brothers smirking eyes before Caspian moves from the door and walks towards him. "You're grinning ear to ear." He raises a brow and Dean rolls his eyes while folding his notebook and tucking the pen into the pen holder. "You really must like her." "I was thinking of a joke I heard I work today." Dean defended and Caspian rolls his eyes. "Sure." He shakes his head as he walks to the desk. "At least tell me you didn't pick where to eat." Dean pauses and clears his throat, leaning back into his seat as he looks at something other than Caspian. "She did." "oh good." "At first, and I changed the venue." Caspian sighs, knowing full well he should have expected his brother's control issues to affect his date. "She booked an open restaurant, I simply had to take her somewhere fancy." Dean says as he notices his brother's unpleased expression. "Anyway, it's none of your business." "It will be a miracle if she wants a second date at this point." Caspian sighs and shakes his head. "She's my employee, I don't need a second date with her, it won't happen. we're done with settling the score." He grits his teeth and gets up from his desk. "Okay." Caspian crosses his arms to his chest as he watches his brother clear his things, keeping them organized as always. Despite it being only subtle, Caspian can see the difference in the way Dean is holding himself now. He seems more loose, more free. He can tell how much just being around Aria has made him a little less nervous that talking about her is okay. Dean always avoided talking about women, not because he's nervous around them, but because he tries to avoid being teased about it. Also because he has no stories to tell about them. "Alright." Caspian sighs and runs his hand through his hair. "But aren't you curious about how a woman feels?" Dean could feel his heart thud at this and glares at his brother. "Is that all you think about?" Dean asks with the irritation evident in his body. "I heard you even saw her breasts." Caspian chuckles as he reaches his hands up to his own chest and mimicks the shape. "Are they big?" Dean feels his face get more flustered as he steps back and away from his brother, gritting his teeth before glaring at him. "It was for medical reasons. And could you go get a life?" He hisses in irritation as walks to the door. "Why is everyone in my business?" "Because you've never had a girlfriend. Just like the old fart who's still on his business world tour and Dominic. But Dominic is on the better side since he had that fling of his last November." Caspian says and Dean rolls his eyes, getting out of the office. "Your employee could be your chance at getting a girlfriend!" Dean sighs as he makes a beeline to his room and closes the door, locking it to keep his brother from following in. He leans his back against the hard wooden door as his eyes dart to the clothes Caspian borrowed him hanging on the closet door. A girlfriend? He rolls his eyes and chuckled at the thought, shaking his head as he pushes himself from the door and walks to his bed. What importance is one? He bites his lip as he turns his gaze to his bed instead. No need to even think about it. He shakes his head and walks to his closet, pulling out his silky pajamas and quickly changing into them. Once he is done he heads over to the bed and gets under the covers. The silence of the room welcomes him once more as the ticking from his clock reminds him of the coldness lingering to pry on his thoughts. With one clap of his hands, the lights fade out, Inviting the darkness into his room. It's silent, perhaps... too silent. He's never felt this way before. It never really bothered him that he could hardly hear anything once his door was closed and the lights were off. They made it so that they couldn't hear each other for reasons so obviously pointing towards his brothers who would make is loud and clear that women just enjoyed their company. As a love interest? He finds himself pondering over his brother's words as he stares at the ceiling in the darkness. Ms. Aria obviously didn't read into it. It was a formal dinner, as it should seem. He sighs as he turns to his side and glances at the other end of the large bed, noticing the much unneeded space where only the cold sleeps on. However... He turns again, facing the ceiling as he sighs and closes his eyes. She might be the only woman I can talk to... Should I even... No. He clenches his jaw and turns to his side again shaking his head. I feel nothing for her, I can't use her to ease my problems with women, it would be unprofessional. He bites his lip and clenches onto the beddings as his mind starts to drift off to her bare chest and this time he finds himself laying faced into the pillow as his ears start to get warm.
