SUSAN WHITE MEETS BOB ROLAND

Susan White, a 25-year-old graduate of Oxford University, Winkoston, leaves her family to the city of Oakridge in search of a white-collar job. In the course of searching for a job, she squats with her friend, Lucy. Lucy was her roommate while they were still in the school.

Susan was desperate and was always going in search of a job dropping her resume in offices, however, faced many harassments from men. After searching for a job, she could not find any. This made her frustrated. In frustration, she leaves one of the offices she entered to seek a job.

Despite the fact, she was walking on the road, returning to Lucy’s place where she is squatting; she loves her privacy and did not like to become a burden to people. While she was walking, a tinted car drove toward her. The man in the car winds down and spoke to Susan. Susan decides to squat with her friend hoping to find a job and get her place with time.

Susan was shocked to see a car with a tinted glass stop right in front of her and the person in the car introduced himself as Bob. He asked Susan, “Can I give you a lift?” and Susan had trekked a very long distance and feeling exhausted. She still has a very long distance to cover up. Susan was not having any cash. She only had her credentials in a good brown envelope and do not have the money to chatter the cab.

Susan responded to Bob by saying, “I will leave that if you do not mind”

Bob opens the door and Susan enters the car. Susan and Bob got talking, though; Bob was still more like a total stranger to her. In the course of the discussion, Susan tells Bob her reason for moving into town. She also makes it known to Bob that she is searching for a job. She also explains her predicament of not having her apartment.

Bob was very nice to Susan and promised to get Susan accommodation. After Bob drops Susan in Lucy’s house, they exchange phone numbers as they both partway.

In about an hour, after Susan parts way with Bob, Susan’s phone rings and she picks up the phone and answered the call. This happened when she had entered the house where she was squatting.

Lucy observing Susan drops from a very clean car with tinted glass, she was quiet because she wants to know if Susan will tell her.

Susan: Hey, Lucy, do you know what?

Lucy reluctantly replied to Susan, “Please tell me what is going on, because I saw the car that drops you. You need to tell whatever you want to tell me, I am not good at guessing, please just tell me.”

Susan hands over the key to her new apartment that Bob got for her to Lucy and said, “I have my apartment now. Bob is the name of the person you saw dropped me off and He was the person that gave me the key to a new apartment.”

Lucy in response said, “The guy that gave you a lift in his car got you an apartment just like that? Did you tell him that you are homeless? Do you even know him, Susan? Well, Susan, you are my friend, I will not advise you otherwise, but I need to say this. You have to be very careful. There are many beasts out there in the name of men looking for the next catch. Are you not hearing the trend of events happening, with how women fall victim to such men? They do not just even use women but end up killing them. There was a recent case, where they killed a young beautiful woman in a hotel room, with all of her delicate organs harvested, including her genital. Susan, be very careful because I know how desperate you are. Nevertheless, I hope you are not planning to leave today. Well, I follow you to see the apartment, but not today.”

“No! Lucy, I am not planning to leave today, but he is coming over to pick me to see the apartment, I hope you will not mind going with me?” said Susan to her friend Lucy.

Lucy in response said, “I do not mind, are we not friends?”

The next day, after Susan meets with Bob, Lucy said to Susan, “I am very happy for you. You are very lucky; I must confess that the apartment is very beautiful. I have worked so hard to get this one room. I am upsetting all my bills and it is not been easy at all. My rent will soon be due. I have just three months left for my rent to be due and my boyfriend, Jack promised to give me only part of the money next month. Nevertheless, I am working hard to raise the money for the rent in case he fails to keep to his promise.”

While they were still talking, there was a knock on the door. Lucy rushes to open the door, while Susan sits on the bed without a frame, just a mattress on a bare floor.

Lucy opens the door and saw Bob, standing…

Bob said, “Hi...” as she replied, “Hi”.

Susan on seeing Bob stood up and rearranged herself, because she was wearing a very skimpy skirt, and not wearing pants under and the way she was lying down, Bob would have seen her void, that is if he has not seen it. Susan is an irresistible attractive girl, very beautiful and fair in complexion. Susan, motion toward Lucy on seeing Bob.

“You did not call to tell me that you are coming, I am surprised you surprise me.”

(Bob to Susan)

“I am sorry I did not call you, I just want to surprise you. I thought it would not be necessary to call since I already know where you are. I feel pleasant surprises will be good for you.”
