SUSAN CALLS BOB

Susan becomes pregnant and feels the world comes crashing on her when the doctor tells her, giving her specific instructions on how she should manage herself. As she leaves the hospital with Lucy after Bob had left, since Lucy told him to, else, if Susan sees him, it will escalate things because of the state that she is in. Lucy had already told Bob that she will call him when she can calm her friend Susan and assures Bob that with what has happened, since Susan is pregnant, she will call him.

Lucy warns Bob to be persuasive to Susan when she calls, however, Lucy did not tell Bob that Susan is pregnant, because she feels It will not be right for Bob to hear about Susan's pregnancy directly from her. She feels the ideal thing to be done is for him to get the news of his mistress's pregnancy from her in person.

When the doctor tells Susan the result of her diagnostic test, she could not believe it, despite she knew that it will only take a miracle for her not to be pregnant, since she has not been taking any contraceptive pills at any time that she have carnal knowledge with Bob. She did not even know what to do or where to start. She thought in her heart, as she keeps asking herself series of questions,

"Do I call Bob? What if I call him and he denies it?"

Susan did not even realize that she was talking to herself and speaking out loud her thoughts. Lucy notices Susan talking to herself, while some other people in the hospital were just stirring in great amazement, seeing how Susan was talking to herself. She did not even realise that she is creating a scene, as she is called more attention to herself.

Lucy had to intercept Susan by a way of soft massage on her shoulder, whispering into her ear, calling her attention to the fact that she is creating a scene, as Susan seems lost in thought, not even realising that people were watching her.

Suddenly, Susan starts weeping uncontrollably, holding Lucy, as she says, "I am finished, Lucy. How do I face my parent? What have I done to myself? I feel like the worst person on earth right now and also think, I do not deserve to be alive."

"Hey, Susan, stop saying that... why? How can you say, " I do not deserve to be alive"? That is not alright at all and I want you to reverse that statement now!", Lucy, agitatedly says to Susan, as Susan mumbly in tears saying, "I deserve to be alive."

"Yes! This is it. Susan, you have always been my good friend. If no one knows how good you are, I do. People make mistakes in life and you ain't the first. Nevertheless, you may be thinking you have made the worse mistake, but don't be surprised that it may end up for your good. Learn how to be positive when you are faced with the contrary expectation of life. Life is sometimes funny and I tell you the truth, everything that happens in our lives does for a reason. I have this belief that both the good and the bad that happens in my life will work out for my good. I have done many more terrible mistakes. Compare to what I have done, you are a saint. Just relax and think of what next to do. However, I would advise you, go home now, take a shower, rest well and call Bob to relate the news to him to get his response." says Lucy to Susan.

This sounds nice to Susan, as she decides in her mind that she will call Bob and cautions herself that this is not the time to be angry with Bob because she would need him.

Susan is a drench in tears, as she and Lucy walk out of the vicinity of the hospital.

Lucy, went to her house, while Susan returns to her apartment, telling Lucy, that she needs to have a private talk with Bob.

When Susan arrives at her apartment, she opens the door, and throws herself on the chair, as she picks up her handset from her bag.

Susan after unlocking the screen of her phone goes straight to her call log, finds Bob's number and orts the send button on her phone. She waits, while the phone rings and goes dead.

Susan tries Bob's line one more time and there is no response from the side Bob. Susan feels bad, assuming Bob is ignoring her calls, as she becomes more confused. While she tries typing on her phone to text Bob, informing him that they need to see right now and it is urgent, she is interrupted by a call from a strange number not saved on her phone. Therefore, she could not identify the caller. When she picks the call, she realizes the voice is Bob's.

"Hi, love, I am sorry, I could not pick your call. I didn't want to believe you will call me. I am sorry, but I want to be sure, you were calling. Well, before you would say anything, let me say this, "I am very sorry, forgive me. I apologize for not telling you that I have a family. However, I wish you would give me a listening ear." says Bob to Susan, while Susan listens with much keen interest because she wants to know what else Bob wants to say to her.

After Bob has finished talking and it is time for Susan to respond, Susan says, "Just do me a favour by coming over right now, because I need to talk to you and I don't want us to discuss on the phone."

Bob swiftly respond, "I will be right on my way, in a jiffy, I will be with you."

The moment the call goes off, Susan enters straight into the bathroom and stands right in front of the mirror. She sees the reflection of herself as if the person standing in front of the mirror is her. When she sees herself from the mirror, she tells herself, "This is not me" because she realizes, her cheek is already growing fast and she is becoming fat. She could observe changes in her body with literal stretch marks on her stomach because she stands in front of the mirror stalk naked. Nevertheless, she could not imagine herself in the condition she has found herself.
