Fated Destiny

As my Alpha father continued to yell at me about being beyond the pack's outer limits the night before, I began staring at my black slippers waiting for his rant to be over. My dark curly brown hair covered my eyes just enough so I could dodge my father's judgmental stares. "I have told you multiple times to not go outside of the pack's limits" he bellowed. "We are in the middle of a war with the Red Moon Pack and being out there is dangerous! I forbid you to leave these walls for a month!" my dad said as he stormed out of my room. He stood at about 6'4" with dark brown hair and bronze skin. His hazel eyes always seemed to pierce a persons soul for as long as I could remember. I'm 5'6" and weigh a whopping 160lbs. I always knew when to not pick a fight with my father. "Some things you just have to let go" I thought to myself. Truth is, I'm worried because in a few short months I would be sworn in as the new Alpha. If I don't marry the horrible man my father picked for me or find my fated mate, I won't be the pack's new Alpha when I turn 18. I am completely fine with that but my father would say otherwise. I glanced over at myself in the mirror and wondered why I haven't met my mate yet? I always thought that I was pretty growing up. My vibrant blue eyes always complemented my honey colored skin tone. I've never been super over weight but I'm very curvy in the right places. Turns out I may be full of myself but what wolf isn't? Well I know I haven't met my wolf yet and that may be the reason I haven't met my mate. I can't wait to turn 18 so I can leave this place. I glanced at the clock and saw that it was 6:15am. I had to be in class by 7:15am so I quickly picked out my outfit for the day. It consisted of dark denim blue jeans and a peach colored laced crop top. I finished off my look with a pair of earrings and black open toed sandals. Satisfied with my look I headed down stairs for breakfast before school. My sister Hope was downstairs preparing her usual spread of bacon, eggs, and pancakes the cook made for us. Our parents were nowhere to be found which wasn't a big shocker. With the war going on, they had already left the house by now and were on the way to the pack house. I grabbed a paper plate out of the cabinet and filled my plate before rushing out of the house. My parents house was a beautiful Victorian style mansion. It was designed by my grandmother and put into place by my grandfather 75 years ago. I always imagined having a similar one built if I became Alpha. My father having no male air really put a strain on the pack. I know I've prepared for this my whole life but I don't want to be my pack's leader. My mother cannot have any more children so I am the only one who may have the chance to create an heir. Which is why I am going to be the next Alpha in my father's eyes. I have a plan to escape the pack's walls as soon as I turn 18. That way I'll have my wolf so I can protect myself. I can't think about that anymore right now so I turned up the radio and listened to music the rest of the way to school. When I pulled into Waverly Highschool in my pink Range Rover, my friend Jasmine was waiting for me by the front entrance. We have our first period together. She took one look at my outfit and smiled as I got closer to the doors of the school. Do you really think that's school appropriate Ms. Destiny? She said with a grin. "This is the last day of highschool" I said with a smile as we walked into our Advanced Battle class. It always sucked having to fight first thing in the morning. Coach Shay was waiting by his desk for us to all get situated. Even though half of us didn't have our wolves, he was always challenging our techniques in human form as well. "Today is your last day learning techniques that you will carry with you for the rest of your life" he said with a grin. "So today you will all fight as if you are fighting for your life. I am holding an elimination match where all of you will compete for a chance to win $5,000. This will help you with your next stop in life," he said with a smile. "So get ready and the matches start in 20 minutes gals and guys". "Coach Shay has gone mad hasn't he?" said Jasmine in a joking manner. "I sure hope so Jasmine because I am so not prepared". I wasn't really serious and she knew that. "I guess it's time to get prepared then huh?"she said. "I guess so," I said as we headed into the locker rooms to get dressed. Coach Shay paired each of us based on s*x and weight the first round. I was paired with a girl named Kate about my same height. She had no idea the s**t storm I was about to rain down on her. "Okay guys here are the rules. One: No killing another student. I don't care how mad you get DON'T DO IT. Two: No shifting. Three: When the whistle blows you freeze. Is this understood guys?" We all nodded in unison. Alright first up Is Kate Zen and Destiny Nikols. Everyone stopped and stared at us as we made our way to the makeshift arena. Alright girls on the count of three I will say begin. Are you two ready? "Yes sir!" We both said in unison. "Alright then! He said. One....two ....three...BEGIN!"
