I lay in my bed, pulling the blanket up over my nose and inhaled Lucas’ walnut and cinnamon scent which was still on it. Since we mated and marked each other, we have only been separated once and that was when Elizabeth was taken by Ezekial because I was packing my things at the mermaid kingdom.
I inhale another breath as my pillow disappears from under my head. “Are you quite right stealing my pillow?’ I write on my message stone and whisper Dad’s stone to it. I don’t think my message stone has had this much use. Not even when I was sent to the mermaid kingdom for four years.
