Chapter 1
Brielle's POV:
I leaned over the side of the ship, I let the salt water splash on my face. I closed my eyes and let the brisk summer air flow through my thick curls. I smiled, I love the sea it's full of mysteries and adventures, its all so thrilling and exciting. I could live at sea if I could, yet that is not my fate. "You be careful now!" I smiled at the voice behind me, "Oh dah, you know I'm always careful." I turned and smirked at my father. "I know you are." he walked beside me and put his forearms on the rail and leaned over the side of the ship. "Are you worried?" he asked. "I don't think so, I know you made the best decision you could." I smiled. "I did try my best. I wish I didn't have to arrange your marriage, I wish you could stay in Ireland with me and your brothers. But after I am gone there will be nothing for you there, and so it is for your own good that this is happening. But you shouldn't worry he is a good man. When I have met with him he was always respectable, and my friends at court say his character is very good. Also with his position and given his financials he will be able to take very good care of you." He paused and looked at me, "there is no man on this earth that deserves you my dear. You are my most prized possession, and i cherish you with all my heart, my sweet girl." he leaned down and kissed my forehead. "I love you dah, and I promise I will come and visit often." A tear escaped my eye. I love my father with all my heart. After my mother passed my father and I became very close and he raised me the same as my brothers. I loved every minuet, we were such a close loving family, and it killed me to have to leave my home. But knew it was my duty and my father was doing what he thought was best for me, and I trust him.
