Since the day Towa brought that child to shelter in Unkensō, he lay low and lived in peace behind the hill of Unkensō, together with the child that he adopted and took him as his disciple; like Chō-bun did. That child name “Kanō-Koshin / Yè-Gǔxìn”. For Towa, he also returned to his old name that was given by his Shishō, Chō-bun, which is “Kōgo / Gāngwú”. After Chō-bun died and for some reason, he didn’t use that name anymore, until now. He’s planning to use that name again for the rest of his life. Since he had already retired from the pugilist world and the toxin inside his body still not yet clear until now, he was trying to nostalgic the old times before one day he suddenly left this world. Even the miracle physician can only slow down his toxin so he won't die any time soon. Once in a few months, the miracle physician will let his man send the pills to Unkensō in secret so nobody notices that he was poisonous except the current sect leader which is the next Seimei-Sōshu and the “Chōrō/Zhǎnglǎo/Elders”. For the record, this current Seimei-Sōshu was the fifth-generation sect head. And for the antidote, the miracle physician still researched it but currently still doesn’t have any progress. However, Kōgo doesn't hope so much for the antidote. He has already gotten used to it with the toxin inside his body. Right now, he only has one wish which is raising Koshin to be a better man as what he promised to his fellow ex-constables. However, it's still a miracle that Kōgo still can survive until now. In the past, the miracle physician already predicted that he would only live another ten years, but ten years has passed, he still lives until now. Maybe God still spared his life to live in this world to pay off his sins. Together with his master, they stayed in a hut behind the hill of Unkensō as requested from Kōgo long ago to Unkensō. Koshin was very weak since he was still very young. That’s why Kōgo taught him some martial-arts including Mukeifūken-ryū and also Mugen-Keisho, to strengthen his body. But at that time, Koshin hadn’t yet mastered all the levels of Mukeifūken-ryū. It's not because Koshin wasn’t talented, it's just that he doesn't really like to learn martial-art. So, he’s quite slacked off to learn it, until one day. There was once, when he was about ten years old, he went to the forest with some of his seniors from Unkensō, to get some herbs. However, he accidentally fell from the cliff and was hurt very badly. Not only broke some bones and his meridians, but also got internally injured. Even one of the Unkensō elders was a physician but still can’t cure him. The internal injury was the worst and could take his life any moment. So Kōgo brought him to see the miracle physician. However, before that, Kōgo already transferred his Qi-energy to Koshin to save his life since it was so urgent and not to mention, the journey from Unkensō to that miracle physician location was quite far so Kōgo really had no choice but to do that. Since Kōgo is still poisonous as the poison is still not yet clear from his body, even Kōgo has saved him but for the exchange, Koshin was also poisoned from the same toxin when he received the Qi-energy from Kōgo. At that time, Kōgo has no other choice, whether to watch him die or save him but for the return, Koshin would also share the same condition as Kōgo. Maybe this is the fate that Koshin must bear. But for Kōgo, it was a bad idea. The miracle physician already advised him that he can't use his internal Qi-energy anymore if he wants to live longer. However, what can he do? It’s impossible for him to watch his disciple that he raised from very young, to die at a young age. The miracle physician was quite confused since he thought he could treat Koshin but not the toxin. Now, not only Kōgo, but also Koshin. One poisonous person was already in trouble, but now two. The miracle physician is trying to use some miracle herbs to treat Koshin. He hopes that he can save Koshin and also at the same time to clear the toxin. However, something’s gone wrong. One of the herbs really has the opposite effect to Koshin’s condition. As for the result, the toxin inside Koshin which shared the same toxin as Kōgo did, now evolved into a different toxin which is cold toxin. The worst part is that this cold toxin has no cure as the same toxin that Kōgo possessed. However, the good part is this toxin can be held down by using the Qi-energy. The stronger the Qi-energy inside Koshin, the less often the poison recurs. Even so, the toxin will recur once in a while until that's happened, Koshin will suffer from freezing which is extremely painful. If not prevented, Koshin will die from heart failure.
