As she stood in a quiet place where she will have a clear view of the living room, Elisa's heart was filled with a whirlwind of emotions as she took in the stunning guest. “I never imagined my life would take such an unexpected turn,” she murmured softly to herself, her thoughts racing. The burden of her responsibilities pressed heavily upon her, yet the magnetic allure of the striking prince was almost impossible to resist. The idea of remaining in the palace to continue working in her position, and endure Marggie’s relentless teasing, felt overwhelming. However, the presence of the handsome mysterious young man who had just arrived in the palace, made her feel brave and confident. She couldn’t allow this chance to slip away without at least trying to know more about him. “What am I going to do with my life?” Elisa whispered to herself as she stood quietly near the kitchen, her heart was heavy with uncertainty and a whirlwind of emotions. Margie, had always been her fiercest rival. With her sharp tongue and cunning ways, she had made it her mission to undermine Elisa whenever an opportunity arose. It was no secret that Margie despised her for the position she held, and now, with the news of Elisa’s plans to leave the palace, she had a new weapon to wield against her. Elisa felt a sense of defeat wash over her. Out of anger, she had earlier made her plans known to Margie. “When did I become so weak? When did I start to doubt my own strength and resolve?” She pondered the weight of her thoughts. Just as she looked across the living room, her gaze landed on the guest who had just entered the palace. He was strikingly handsome, with an air of confidence that made her heart flutter. In that moment, Elisa made a silent vow to herself: “I will not let Margie’s jealousy or my own fears dictate my future. I will stay put, to find my footing in this world right here in the palace, and perhaps even get to know this charming guest.” She was determined to find her sense of purpose again.Elisa took a deep breath and made her way to the living room. She had a duty to fulfill as the maid in charge of the royal family, and she was always alert to the needs of the household. With each step she took, she reminded herself of her commitment to her role, her responsibility to the Queen, and the importance of her presence in the palace. As she approached the Queen, Elisa felt a mix of anxiety and excitement. She wanted to know if the Queen needed her services at that moment. She had always taken pride in her work, ensuring that everything was in perfect order, and she refused to allow Margie or anyone to take that away from her. Time and again Margie had tried to oust her from her position, but each time, Prince Hemed had stood firmly by her side, rejecting Margie’s attempts to sabotage her work. Elisa had often felt a surge of gratitude for the Prince, who had always recognized her dedication and hard work. With him in her corner, she felt a glimmer of hope. "Perhaps, just perhaps, this new guest could bring a change to the palace dynamics." Elisa murmured to herself as she stood before the Queen, her mind filled with possibilities, and her heart beat with the thrill of what was to come. “Maybe this handsome stranger will be the key to my strength.” She whispered as she made herself ready to embrace whatever lay ahead, determined to create her own future in the complicated palace life. With a deep, calming breath to gather her thoughts, Elisa steeled herself and prepared to approach the Queen. After all, it was her solemn duty to ensure that the royal family’s needs were met with the utmost care. With a graceful and purposeful stride, she made her way toward the Queen, her heart full of anticipation. “Good afternoon your Majesty. Can I offer the guest something to drink?” she inquired, her voice steady despite the excitement bubbling within her. Leaning in slightly, she tried to catch a better glimpse of the guest's face, her mind racing with the possibility of familiarity. Her main objective was to find out who that handsome young man was and not necessarily to serve them a drink. The Queen’s warm smile radiated maternal pride as she turned her gaze towards Elisa. “Ah, my dear Elisa, allow me to introduce my eldest son, Prince Rivers. He has just returned from his studies abroad,” she declared, her eyes twinkling with affection. “And, of course, Prince Hemed and Princess Tina are his younger siblings who stayed with us here while he went about his dreams overseas. That’s why you haven’t had the pleasure of meeting him until now,” she continued, gesturing toward the prince with evident pride. Elisa’s breath caught in her throat as her eyes met those of Prince Rivers. He was even more breathtaking than she thought, with dark, tousled hair that framed his chiseled face and piercing blue eyes that seemed to penetrate her very own soul. His smile was dazzling and inviting, making her feel as if she were the only person in the entire room. “Prince Rivers, this is Elisa, our new maid,” the Queen’s tone was filled with warmth and approval as she introduced her. “She is the one Jennifer recommended to be responsible for tending to the needs of the royal family.” As all the other maids in the room turned to admire the prince’s striking presence, Elisa felt a rush of excitement mingling within her nerves as the Queen introduced her with approval. The air buzzed with whispers of admiration, and she could sense a shift in the atmosphere as everyone eagerly awaited the prince’s reaction. As he stepped closer, the warmth of his presence enveloped her, causing her heart to race even more wildly. “It is a pleasure to finally meet you, Elisa,” he said, his voice rich and smooth, sending delightful shivers down her spine as he shook hands with her. My mom here had been praising you a lot as she talked to me on the phone, I would love to experience your services too.... Elisa. In that moment, all of Elisa's doubts and insecurities faded away and what truly mattered now was that unexpected connection, a chance to discover more about the prince who had so effortlessly captured her heart. The room was full of excitement as the Queen signaled for all the other maids to gather for introductions. Elisa felt her heart flutter with a new sense of hope and possibility. She felt like there was something extraordinary—a journey that might reveal her own hidden dreams and desires.
