Thinking of what Eve had said, Tom tried to weigh up the benefits she could bring to him.
It was true that he wanted to be rich and famous. And though Eve was a sordid woman, no one could deny that she was also smart. If Tom wanted to have a bright future, it was a wise choice for him to be with Eve. Bella was beautiful and cute, but she was better suited to being a girlfriend rather than a wife.
With these thoughts, Tom started to feel better about his situation. Taking a deep breath, he went upstairs to check on Bella.
