I let Margaret eat what she wanted. I was accompanying her in my apartment. My phone started to ring , and it was from Arthur.
“Why aren’t you answering your phone?” she asked.
“Later, just eat,” I said, then texted Arthur instead, saying I will be home late. Not a single second past Arthur called again, I had no choice but to answer it this time, so I stood up.
“Excuse me,” I said to Margaret and went to the bedroom, closed the door and hit the answer button on my phone, “Hi, Love?” I was trying my best not to sound suspicious.
“Love, where are you? Why aren’t you answering your phone?” Arthur asked.
“I was busy. I’m sorry.. I’m here at my old apartment just checking my stuff.” I reasoned.
