Arthur’s POV
We’re on the plane now and I got into my seat. I couldn’t wait to fall asleep. I was so tired because of those trips. While trying to make myself comfortable, I heard some noises across my seat. Two girls were chatting loudly.
“Your not going to believe what I saw earlier,” one girl said.
“What?” another girl asked.
“I think I saw the man we saw at the incident near the mall,” the girl exclaimed.
“Huh? He’s here? Where?” the other girl replied.
Because of the noise, I signaled to one of my guards to stop them from being too nosy. I can’t even relax on this goddamn plane, but wait? Incident? Near the mall? Are they talking about Margaret’s car accident?
I became so intrigued by who these girls were. I folded the newspaper I was reading to look at them and saw them looking in my direction.
It was her again. How many times do we need to cross each other’s path? Is this a coincidence?
As they saw me looking in their direction, they made themselves busy. They turned on the screen in front of them and pretended that they were watching a movie.
Their gossip stopped, and I went back to reading. I also don’t know when I fall asleep.
As I was sleeping, I felt someone grabbed my arm. The plane was shaking because of the turbulence. I looked up to see who it was and I saw her. The girl who was gossiping about me.
“You’ll regret crossing your path with me,” I whispered to her. I was so annoyed by her presence. I don’t know. I don’t like how she resembles my fiancée. It made me miss her more.
I quickly removed her hand from me and she ran into the lavatory. f**k. Her hands were so soft.
“Alvin,” I called my secretary.
“Yes, Mr.?” He answered.
“You saw the girl earlier? Do a background check on her. I want to know everything,” I told Alvin.
“Yes, I will, Mr.” Alvin replied.
Finally, we arrived in California. I just did some meetings, then headed to my house. I also live alone. My only companion was Alvin. He does all the work for me.
“Mr. would you like to grab a coffee or something?” Alvin asked.
“Coffee?” I said.
“Yeah, there’s a new coffee shop around the area. I know you love coffee so much. That’s why I thought you might want to check it out.” Alvin was smiling the whole time he was talking.
“Sure, after this,” I said calmly and pointed to my laptop, I just need to finish some of my work.
Alvin walked out of my room to get ready the car. I was starving too, so I might grab dinner too on the way.
After I finished all my work, I went downstairs and told my maid not to cook too much because I was just going to eat outside. I headed to the parking lot and my driver opened the car door for me. Alvin also got in the car and we headed to the café.
It was late when we arrived at the café. There are a few people left inside. I checked the menu; it was like an ordinary café with a bunch of interiors designed to make it look aesthetic.
“One Iced Americano and a strawberry cheesecake,” I ordered, then left Alvin there to order his and to pay.
I searched for the best seat to eat my food. As I was looking, I found a vacant seat near the window with a superb view.
I was heading towards it when I felt something bump into me and I felt something dripping down my shirt.
I was so shocked when I looked down and saw her again. What the hell? I checked my shirt, and it was all wet. The coffee she was holding splashed into me.
“What the f**k?!” I exclaimed.
“Oh My God! I am so sorry,” she apologized and tried to wipe the coffee off my shirt.
I took a step back because she was touching my core.
“Can you not see where you are going? You i***t!” I said, so irritated.
“I didn’t see you,” she said sadly.
“Yeah, she didn’t see you and apologized already, so what’s the big deal? It’s just coffee,” her friend said, annoyingly.
“Oh, what a b***h!” I bellowed.
“Excuse me?!” her friend said, appearing truly offended..
“Enough, Cel, let’s go,” she interrupted.
What the hell is wrong with those girls? I wanted to choke them to death; I was not having it because this was my favorite shirt. Margaret gave me this shirt. After the coffee incident with my fiancée’s lookalike and her friend. She grabs her purse and attempts to leave.
“Hold on!” I said with full authority.
I took my shirt off, grabbed my wallet, got my business card and threw it to her. I see how surprised she was at what I did. Yes, served her right and her friend.
“Wash it and bring it back to me. I don’t want to see any coffee stains on that shirt, understand?” I retorted.
She did not respond to me and just walked out of the café. Alvin just got in my direction and was holding our orders when he saw me half naked.
“Mr., What happened? Where is your shirt?” He asked.
“Take it out, I’ll just go drink it at home” I commanded, then walked straight out of the café. I saw a lot of people staring at me as I walked past them.
We headed home, and I was so pissed off.
As we arrived home, I went straight to my bedroom and someone was knocking on my door.
“Come in,” I shouted.
“Mr. Wilson, Here’s all of the details about her. To be honest, she really looks like Ms. Green,” Alvin said, handing me a folder that contained her information.
“Sia Moore,” I uttered.
“She spilled a coffee on my shirt, I handed it to her to wash the stains. She will call you anytime soon, so be prepared and book a dinner for us at my yacht,” I added.
“A dinner?” Alvin asked again.
“Yeah, I’m kind of bored so I wanted to play with her,” I smirked.
“Got it,” he said, then walked out of my room.
Let’s see how far this will go.
