Blakely’s POV
I spend the next two hours talking to my new pack members.
A lot are friendly and welcoming. Some are not as friendly.
There are a lot of comments about me being a girl and ‘such a tiny one at that’.
I plaster a smile on and ignore the negativity. I held my own at training, I will prove myself to them in time, just like I did with my own pack.
Or I guess I should say, my old pack. A knot has been in my stomach for the last two hours, a sadness that I can feel the ties have been severed from my home, from my Alpha father, from Trey.
But I keep smiling and meeting new people.
Rex stays by my side for awhile, making sure I get bites to eat from passing trays and that I always have a glass of champagne in my hand.
He is by far my favorite new pack member.
