Dante walked down the stairs and into the kitchen. Last night had been terrible for him; he was sleeping when he first heard her muttering and whining. In actual fact, it was Ares who had heard the pain. They had sat beside her room wondering what he could do when he heard her first cry. “Dante, it could be…” the cry tore his heart into a million pieces. She was soon crying out for her dad and begging him to save her. “She sees me as a monster,” he had thought, deciding to sit still.
